Sydney Morning Herald (SMH hereafter) 31 January 2004 (Edited by DCB) GERMAN CANNIBAL GETS 8 1/2 YEARS "A German who confessed to killing, dismembering and eating another man has been convicted of manslaughter and sentenced to 8-1/2 years in prison." The state court ruled that the forty two year old computer expert, Armin Meiwes, did not have any "base motives" when he murdered and ate his victim. Meiwes’ "defence argued that since the victim had volunteered to be killed and eaten, the crime should be classified a mercy killing, which carries a five-year maximum penalty."

SMH 27 January, 2004 AUSTRALIA - LATHAM SET TO COACH PARENTS AND CITIZENS - AUSTRALIA (Edited by DCB) "Mark Latham is expanding his good behaviour code for Australians, pledging to introduce a citizenship charter and to require discipline classes for parents of delinquent teenagers." Latham said he supported a plan that "...would allow courts to require the parents of unruly and truant children to attend classes to learn how to discipline their children more effectively." The Australian Labor Party leader said "For many people, with the decline of traditional family and community life, parenting has become a tough and challenging role."

Editor’s Comment: Exactly what is a traditional family to Mark Latham? In December 2003 he was quoted as saying "the basic ingredient of a good, successful relationship is love and care. Whether it is a same-sex or different-sex relationship - I don't draw a distinction."

SMH 2 February, 2004 FREE CHILD CARE - LABOR'S ELECTION BABY - AUSTRALIA (Edited by DCB) "Free pre-school education and child care could be a Labor election lure for parents under a policy being thrashed out by the party." The Australian Labor Party (ALP) "is putting together the child care policy but cannot finalise the details until after the May budget, when it will know how much money is available for what could be a very costly plan."

Editor’s Comment: The socialistic promises are coming fast and furious.

SMH 28 January, 2004 NEW RULES FOR PRIVATE SCHOOLS - AUSTRALIA (Edited by DCB) "Private schools in NSW will be forced to document their daily business - from anti-racism programs to financial accounts and the number of truants - or risk being closed, a report said." If this state legislation is passed it means 900 non-government schools must "…publicly report academic results, follow the state syllabus and allow expelled students the right of appeal…" It is also "the first time the Board of Studies would monitor student safety and welfare in private boarding schools." This monitoring has been "prompted by the boarding house sex scandal at Sydney's Trinity Grammar School in 2000."

Editor’s Comment: Let it be understood that the ALP, the Australian Democrats and Greens Party are opposed to Biblical Christianity. The New South Wales Parliament will be considering a bill to force private schools to employ homosexuals sometime this year.

Dubbo Daily Liberal 2 February, 2004 GAMBLING SERVICE'S FUNDING SLASHED – AUSTRALIA (Edited by DCB) "A counselling service that helps problem gamblers has had its funding cut by 25 per cent. The Central West Gambling Service has had more than $100,000 cut from its allocation for the next financial year." "Last financial year the service received $457,000, which is down to $344,000 for the year commencing July 1, 2004." The co-ordinator of CCBF, Kevin Howard, said that within the Dubbo and Orana region "it is estimated about 2 per cent of the population suffer from problem gaming, which means in the local region of 73,000 people there are potentially 1500 problem gamblers." Howard also said that gambling was not the only problem "...but other issues relating to gambling such as depression, suicide, crime, financial hardship and family break-ups."

SMH 26 January, 2004 POPE FLIPS OVER BREAK DANCERS (Edited by DCB) "Pope John Paul II presided over a performance of break dancers today, who leapt, flipped and spun their bodies to a dance beat from a tinny boom box in the Vatican. The 83-year-old pontiff seemed to approve, waving his hand after each dancer completed their moves, then applauding for the entire group, from a cultural organisation in his homeland of Poland."

The Pope said he blessed the dancers from his heart for their creative work and to "Be faithful to beauty and be faithful to goodness."

SMH 24 January, 2004 'TEST-Tube' Babies At Risk: Study (Edited by DCB) "Babies conceived artificially face a far higher risk of premature birth, low birthweight and early death than counterparts conceived naturally..." so says a "study of studies’ - an overview of 25 published studies that looked at the birth outcome of single babies born after IVF or conceived naturally."

"British doctors, reporting in January 2003, found IVF babies ran a four times greater risk of a rare genetic disorder called Beckwith-Wiedemann syndrome, which causes excessive growth, low blood sugar, defects in the abdominal wall and kidney abnormalities.

They speculated that IVF/ICSI interfered with a genetic process called imprinting, which unfolds just after conception, and determines the activity of the genes."

Editor’s Comment: Sodomites love IVF. A Community Law Reform Document AND THEN THE BRIDES CHANGED NAPPIES says "Most lesbian mothers having children through donor insemination do so with known donors (around 50-70%).
