Purpose: To inform and warn God's people of religious,
social, and political events in today's world.
Dear Friends in Christ Jesus,
Acts 1: 8 "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come
upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea,
and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth."
Is it not a wonderful privilege to serve Christ "unto the uttermost part
of the earth"? The prince of preachers said in WITNESSING BETTER THAN
KNOWING THE FUTURE "the text says, ‘Ye shall be witnesses’; not ‘Ye shall act as
witnesses’ only, but ‘Ye shall be witnesses.’ Every true Christian should, in
his own proper person, be a witness for his Lord. ‘Here I stand,’ says he,
‘myself a proof of what my Lord can do. I, his servant, saved by him, and
renewed by him, washed in his blood, it is I who, while I live, whether I speak
or not, am a monument of his love, a trophy of his grace.’ ‘Ye shall be
Witnesses unto me.’" A "trophy of his grace"!
In February’s letter we mentioned a Baptist pastor who had fallen into
immorality and sadly again just a few weeks ago we received an email informing
us of a missionary of many years, leaving his wife for an unsaved woman. We know
we too need to take heed lest we fall, 1 Corinthians 10: 12. It is sad to think
of this man’s dear wife now preparing to return to the states, alone. How our
hearts ache for her, and him. Again let us reflect on 1 Peter 5: 8 "Be sober,
be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about,
seeking whom he may devour." As a believer, no matter what our age, our
life’s goal ought to be that we "have fought a good fight" we "have
finished my (our) course, I (we) have kept the faith" 2 Timothy 4:7. How
quickly that trophy of grace can be tarnished!
Be assured the unsaved are watching as we live and move among them. Our life,
actions and words, is about all any of them will ever know of the Lord Jesus
Christ. David has made acquaintances with many people around the city and one of
those operates the local McDonalds. Ian telephoned one evening and asked if
David would like to come in and see how the new kitchen they had just installed
operated. David said he would as it gives him time to be with Ian and
opportunity to have some time with the young people working there. This photo is
of Ian informing David as to the procedure for heating the buns in the new oven.
Please pray that Ian and others will read the tracts given and also see "Christ
in you (us), the hope of glory" Colossians 1: 27 and be saved.
We want to thank those who have recently sent in special gifts and again a
big thank you to those who faithfully support us each month or quarterly.
"Now I (we) beseech you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ's sake, and for the
love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me (us) in your prayers to God
for me (us)" Romans 15:30, so that we "may stand perfect and complete in
all the will of God" Colossians 4:12.
Serving the Saviour with you,
