CHURCH VOWS TO KEEP FAITH WITH ITS SCHOOLS, DESPITE MUSLIM MAJORITY – (Edited by DCB) The Times reports that those families in some inner-city neighbourhoods who claim to be Christian are so rare “that two Church of England schools now cater exclusively for Muslim pupils”. In at least a dozen Church of England primary schools “more than 80 per cent are from Islamic homes.” In other areas the percentage rise to 99% while Blackburn and Dewsbury it is 100%.

Evolutionary research based on the belief that there is no God to whom we are accountable has determined that “animal evolution may not always follow a trajectory from simple to complex.” These scientists have “determined that so-called "simple" and "lower" tier animals, such as corals and jellyfish, evolved in parallel to "higher" animals, like seemingly more complex insects and even humans. On the tree of life, monosiga then currently holds the root position for the latter group.”

S. Census into the White House”. According to Utah's congressional delegation this decision is “partisan” and “potentially dangerous to congressional redistricting around the country.”  

The director of the Centre for Politics at the University of Virginia, Larry Sabato, said “I've always remembered what Joseph Stalin said: 'Those who cast the votes decide nothing. Those who count the votes decide everything.' The same principle applies to the census. Since one or the other party will always be in power at the time of the census, it is vital that the out-of-power party at least be able to observe the process to make sure it isn't being stacked in favor of the party in power. This will be difficult for the GOP since I suspect Democrats will control both houses of Congress for the entire Obama first term”.

TREATY THAT MAY ERODE U.S. RIGHTS 25 February, 2009 (Edited by DCB) California’s liberal Senator, Barbara Boxer, “is pushing the Obama administration to move forward with ratification of the U.N. Convention on the Rights of the Child, a controversial treaty that has never gained much support in the U.S.” This treaty is said by those who oppose it “a gross assault on parental rights that could rob the U.S. of sovereignty.” Heritage Foundation’s Steven Groves says the treaty allows “an outside body, a group of unaccountable so-called experts in Switzerland have a say over how children in America should be raised, educated and disciplined” and this “is an erosion of American sovereignty". Obama’s ambassador to the UN Susan Rice said this is “a very important treaty and a noble cause”.  This treaty will probably be ratified as in his 2008 presidential campaign Obama stated that he would “review this and other treaties to ensure the United States resumes its global leadership in human rights."
