Listen as they preach that "…it's not just plants, animals or ‘the environment’ that must be saved -- it's us." "Only we can Save Our Selves from our climate crisis. And we must" (underlining added).

The Bible says in Revelation 16: 8, 9 "And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire. And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory." Psalm 55:16 "As for me, I will call upon God; and the LORD shall save me."

The UN says that "Before the advent of colonization and of Christianity and Islam, the African lived in harmony with nature." But when the white man arrived and especially the missionary, things changed. "Missionaries who trooped to Africa alongside the colonial masters discouraged traditional practices such as the worshipping of rivers, mountains, and trees, which they described as idolatry and heathen."

Later in his talk he gave "Two contentious examples" in the Scriptures. One was John 14: 6 where he said "Jesus says in the Farewell Discourses of John's Gospel that 'no-one comes to the Father except by me'. As an isolated text, this is regularly used to insist that salvation depends upon explicit confession of Christ, and so as a refutation of any attempt to create a more 'inclusive' theology of interfaith relations." The second "contentious" passage according to Williams is Romans One. Williams said "Paul in the first chapter of Romans famously uses

same-sex relationships as an illustration of human depravity -- along with other 'unnatural' behaviours such as scandal, disobedience to parents and lack of pity." The answer is found in chapter Two according to Williams and he says "Paul is making a primary point not about homosexuality but about the delusions of the supposedly law-abiding."

I personally had never heard of Ten Commandments Day until the 18th of April when I received an unsolicited email stating Ten Commandments Day would be observed by many in the USA on Sunday the 6th May, 2007. With an inquisitive mind I went to http://tencommandmentsday.com/read.php?id=15 and found that its promoters are a patch- work of ecumenical high flyers. At this web site names such as Chuck Colson, James Dobson, John Hagee and Jerry Falwell are listed along with others. Then at http://tencommandmentsday.com/10CDay. php other names given as being "involved with the Ten Commandments Day include" TBN’s Paul Crouch, Benny Hinn, Marilyn Hickey, and James Kennedy.
