http://au.news.yahoo.com/a/-/world/5542969/denies-letting-troops-convert-afghans/ 5 May, 2009 U.S. DENIES LETTING TROOPS CONVERT AFGHANS (Edited y DCB) – “John Jay, the first Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court, and one of the three men most responsible for the writing of the Constitution declared: ‘Providence has given to our people the choice of their rulers, and it is their duty-as well as privilege and interest- of our Christian nation to select and prefer Christians for their rulers.’”[1]

Today that same country’s military says it does not allow Christian “...soldiers to try to convert Afghans to Christianity, after a television network showed pictures of soldiers with bibles translated into local languages.” The U. S. Military’s Central Command’s General Order Number 1 “forbids active duty troops -- including all those serving in Iraq and Afghanistan -- from trying to convert people to their religion, considered a crime in many Muslim countries.”

            A former Afghan Prime Minister, Ahmad Shah Ahmadzai, said Christian proselytizing is “a direct attack on our religion that will arouse Afghans' emotions to take actions against them.” However, as far as the military spokesman knows the “bibles were never distributed...because the soldier understood that if he distributed them he would be in violation of General Order 1, and he would be subject to punishment." The spokesman was aware of at least one US soldier “who had been punished for giving out coins that had biblical inscriptions on them.”

http://www.onenewsnow.com/Security/Default.aspx?id=516980 U.S. MILITARY DESTROYS SOLDIER'S BIBLES 5 May 2009 (Edited by DCB) – This is a follow up to the previous story as the “U.S. military is confirming that it has destroyed some Bibles belonging to an American soldier serving in Afghanistan.” The military spokesman said “I can now confirm that the Bibles shown on Al Jazeera's clip were, in fact, collected by the chaplains and later destroyed.”

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,518864,00.html STUDENT WINS SUIT AFTER TEACHER SAYS CREATIONISM 'SUPERSTITIOUS NONSENSE' 4 May, 2009 (Edited by DCB) – A federal United States judge has ruled “that a public high school history teacher violated the First Amendment when he called creationism ‘superstitious nonsense’ during a classroom lecture.”

            Was this a real win? The judge dismissed statements made by the teacher such as, “Conservatives don't want women to avoid pregnancies — that's interfering with God's work” and “When you pray for divine intervention, you're hoping that the spaghetti monster will help you get what you want.”

            It is hard to imagine any sane teacher making such asinine statements?  But then again we are talking about the humanistic government public school system. Psalm 53:1 “The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God.”

BIKIE PUSH TO RECRUIT TEENAGERS (Edited by DCB) - May 06, 2009 “SYDNEY'S Middle Eastern youth gangs have become recruitment grounds for outlaw bikies - with allegiances split along religious lines.” One such gang “boasts of its extremist Islamic views on YouTube videos and promotes anti-Australian sentiment including flag-burning and statements like: ‘... the police’ and ‘Asesinoz MC is now targeting Aussies’”.

http://www.onenewsnow.com/Politics/Default.aspx?id=520304 HAWAII LAWMAKERS VOTE TO CELEBRATE 'ISLAM DAY' 7 May 2009 (Edited by DCB) – The Hawaiian state senate has “overwhelmingly approved a bill to celebrate ‘Islam Day,’.” This was done to celebrate the “the rich religious, scientific, cultural and artistic contributions’ that Islam and the Islamic world have made.” Think about it, what Islamic nation would you move to in order to improve your life? Those of the Islamic faith are not immigrating to other Islamic nations but to nations where it is not simply toleration but liberty that is practiced and respected.

            Also consider the recent Saudi judge who approved husbands slapping their wives on the face “if they spend money lavishly on unnecessary things”. This is the peaceful religion? Where are the feminist leaders and outspoken human right activists on this issue? Perhaps the Hawaiian police need to be investigating what these senators are or have been smoking!
