NORWAY ADOPTS GAY MARRIAGE LAW – (Edited by DCB) - The
Parliament of Norway has “…adopted a new marriage law that
allows homosexuals to marry and adopt children and permits
lesbians to be artificially inseminated.” The debate was quited
heated and the vote was “84 to 41.” According to a Norwegian
television station, this makes Norway the “…sixth country in the
world to grant homosexuals the right to marry on an equal
footing with heterosexuals.” This new law replaces “…a so-called
‘partnership law’ adopted in 1993 which gave Norwegian
homosexuals the right to civil unions.” It is interesting that
until 1972 homosexulaity was illegal in Norway but since then
“…has become one the most liberal in the world in the field.” It
is just a matter of time before Australia and the United States
accept same sex marriage!

JAKES, OTHERS IN CLOSED-DOOR MEETING WITH OBAMA 11 June 2008
(Edited by DCB) The Democratic Presidential candidate of the
United States, Barak Obama, has discussed “…Darfur, the Iraq
war, homosexual rights, abortion and other issues…with Christian
leaders, including conservatives who have been criticized for
praising the Democratic presidential candidate.” T. D. Jakes, a
prominent pastor of a mega-church in Dallas, TX, said Obama
answered questions and spoke of his “personal journey of faith.”
Another prominent person in attendance was Franklin Graham.
Graham asked Obama whether he personally “…thought Jesus was the
way to God, or merely a way”. Graham’s spekesman, Mark DeMoss,
declined to say what Obama’s answer was to the question.

June 2008 SO. BAPTISTS PICK NEW LEADER (Edited by DCB) Dr.
Johnny Hunt, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Woodstock,
GA., was elected president of the Southern Baptist Convention at
their annual convention in Indianapolis. Hunt is supposedly a
conservative and is listed as a speaker at the Southwide Baptist
Fellowship meeting in October at Southwide Baptist Church,
Warner Robins, GA. Other speakers include Tim Lee, and Jonathan
Falwell. One wonders why the Southwide Baptist Fellowship still
exists!
http://www.southwide.com/ As mentioned in the previous
article, Southern Baptist Johnny Hunt is one of Southwide’s
speakers this year. Another speaker listed on Southwide’s web
site is Eric Geiger. Eric’s web site,
http://www.ericgeiger.com/site.html says Eric is the
executive pastor at Christ Fellowship as well as being
associated with Ministry Advantage. If you are interested in
reading more on Ministry Advantage, go to
http://www.simplechurch.org/. The catchword used to be
“mntoring” but it seems it is now “coaching”. Ministry Advantage
is affiliated in Australia with Willow Creek Asssociation,
http://wcaus.com/ma. Here we read “A Leadership coaching
experience offered by Willow Creek Australia in association with
Ministry Advantage, USA.”

9 June 2008 CANADIAN PRIEST ACCUSED OF HATE CRIME (Edited by DCB)
In Canada a Roman Catholic priest “…is under investigation on
charges of violating that nation's hate crimes law.” These
charges came about because the priest was teaching what the
Roman Catholic Church teaches concerning homosexual marriage and
homosexuality and these teachings are in opposition to several
Canadian laws.

GOVERNMENT TO PASTOR: RENOUNCE YOUR FAITH! NOW BANNED FROM
EXPRESSING MORAL OPPOSITION TO HOMOSEXUALITY 9 June 2008 (Edited by
DCB) – Evangelical pastor, Stephen Boisson, has beeen ordered by the
Alberta Human Rights Tribunal “…to renounce his faith and never
again express moral opposition to homosexuality, according to a new
report.” The charges came about due to a letter Pastor Boisson wrote
to the editor of the Alberta Red Deer newspaper denouncing the
activities of the homosexuals. He wrote that “Children as young as
five and six years of age are being subjected to psychologically and
physiologically damaging pro-homosexual literature and guidance in
the public school system; all under the fraudulent guise of equal
rights.” The decision of the Alberta Human Rights tribunal banned
the pastor “…from expressing his biblical perspective of
homosexuality and ordered to pay $5,000 for ‘damages for pain and
suffering’ as well as apologize to the activist who complained of
being hurt.”
Are these human rights commissions and tribunals for all people
or just some? The very Act that allowed this pastor to be
charged also states, “Nothing in this section shall be deemed
to interfere with the free expression of opinion on any
subject.”

America certainly needs our prayers at this crucial hour! 2
Chronicles 7: 14 “If my people, which are called by my name,
shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn
from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will
forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
Because of Calvary and Grace,
