National Council of Churches USA
(Edited by DCB) PERSONS OF FAITH PROMISE TO ADVOCATE THE END OF HUNGER-
Washington, D.C. June 7, 2005—"With fervor and conviction, religious
leaders from Jewish, Catholic, Orthodox, Protestant, Muslim, Sikh and
Buddhist traditions, urged more than 1,000 participants in yesterday’s
first Interfaith Convocation on Hunger at the Washington National
Cathedral to advocate for the end of hunger in the United States and
abroad."
Editor’s
Comment: This is another act of disobedience by
those who claim the name of Christ. 1 Kings 18:21 "And Elijah…said, How
long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow him: but if
Baal, then follow him."

Editor’s Comment:
It certainly seems that the time has come when "…they will not endure
sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves
teachers, having itching ears" 2 Timothy 4:3.

DCB) CONFERENCE AT NEW LIFE CHURCH DRAWS YOUNG PEOPLE FROM 25 STATES
"Inside two auditoriums at New Life Church, the
music was so loud you could feel the bass pulsing inside your chest. Pink
and purple lights bathed thousands of kids dancing in the aisles, hands
uplifted as bands blared out songs to Jesus."
Editor’s Comment:
A preacher friend of mine often says "What you
win them with is what you keep them with." How much more of the world can
the church bring in to supposedly win the world to Christ?
Agape Press – 3 August 2005- (Edited by
DCB) CHURCH OF ENGLAND'S HOMOSEXUAL 'MARRIAGE' COMPROMISE HAS THEOLOGIAN
CONCERNED "While the Episcopal Church USA
continues to affirm and bless homosexual relationships, the Church of
England is now allowing homosexual clergy to marry if they promise to
abstain from sex. Last week the Church of England's House of Bishops
issued a statement approving ‘sexless marriage’ for homosexual clergy. The
church says it will treat these marriages as civil partnerships without
giving them the status of marital relationships. However, conservative
Anglican theologian Dr. Kendall Harmon fears the Episcopal Church and
other liberal Anglicans will use the policy to further their cause."
"The London
Telegraph newspaper reports that homosexual activists claim more than 700
clergy are ‘lining up to marry their same-sex partners.’
But ultimately, Harmon says the Church of England's approval of homosexual
partnerships for clergy will only worsen the current crisis the Anglican
Church is in over the issue of sex outside traditional, biblical
marriage."
Editor’s Comment: This leaves
little doubt (if you still had any) but the Church of England has departed
"…from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of
devils" 1 Timothy 4:1. b www.post-gazette.com 17 July 2005 – (Edited by DCB) SINNERS IN THE HANDS
OF AN ANGRY MOB- "To put it biblically, Jonathan
Edwards begat Timothy who begat Jonathan who begat Richard who begat Ogden
who begat George who begat Richard who begat Janet who last month joined
two women in marriage and now wonders what the Presbyterian Church plans
to do about her." In the 28 June newspaper it read "The Reverend Doctor
Janet Edwards officiated in a ceremony integrating the couple's Buddhist
and Christian traditions. Dr. Edwards is a Presbyterian minister active in
advancing the full recognition of gay persons within the Pittsburgh
Presbytery."
Janet Edwards is
a descendant of Jonathan Edwards who preached that great sermon "Sinners
in the hands of an angry God." The author of the
article said Jonathan Edwards may "have been less horrified by the absence
of a groom than by the presence of a Buddhist."
Edwards "has long
advocated for the rights of gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transgendered
persons…and, after some skirmishes within the
Pittsburgh Presbytery, which oversees the church, a sort of truce
evolved." She said "I knew I was breaking that truce" but "I stay quiet
for a while and then I do something, then I stay quiet for a while and
then I do something."
Editor’s Comment:
These folk have given "themselves over to fornication" and are "going
after strange flesh" and will ultimately suffer "the vengeance of eternal
fire."
