This centre is located in "downtown Ferndale, Mich." "Ford's grant is among the largest donations ever made from a Fortune 500 company to a gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (GLBT) organization." Ford’s gift "along with similar contributions from other automotive manufacturers, will bolster Affirmations' efforts to raise $5.3 million to complete the facility." Sandra Ulsh, Prsident of the Ford Motor Company Fund said "The new center will serve as a cornerstone for the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community in the state of Michigan. It will be a place to build and nurture a more inclusive and respectful society." The top gift was $500,000 coming from Allan Gilmour, a former a former Ford vice chairman.

The course is "set up for self-study, with a text covering the basics and a companion workbook with of 365 lessons, to be accomplished according to the student's tempo." The "sessions cover relationships, forgiveness, the end of sacrifice, self-worth, making real peace and the emotions of love and fear." The Course in Miracles is an eight week study for "People of all faiths are drawn to the course, although it is Christian in origin." Even though the course is not taught in the church, people are still introduced to its error there! The course will be taught at the facilities of the Inner Prosperity, Inc., Des Moines, IA. On their web site http://www.innerprosperityinc.com/Workshop.html we read "Here are some of the things we’ll be talking about within the classes:

You are one with God. You’re not your ego.

All fear comes from the ego and the authority problem.

Editor’s Comment: Some celebrities who have taken these courses are Michael Jackson, and Oprah Winfrey. That in itself says a lot! There’s a potluck "luau" right after the service on the first Saturday of every month (food, fun, fellowship and hula lessons)." Then there is a venue for "Single adults who like current Christian radio hits." At another you can "Enjoy a relaxed atmosphere where you can experience a deep and passionate encounter with God." Then there is the venue where you may "Enjoy a lower volume worship experience with a mix of classic hymns, old favorites, and cherished choruses."

"What about people who live in a country without Christian witness? Question: What about people who live in a country where they have never heard about Jesus? Will they be able to get into heaven by some other way?

Answer: There is only one way to get into heaven, through what Jesus did on the cross for us. He paid the price for our sins on the cross, no one else could do that because He alone is God.

What about those who haven't heard about the cross? They can be saved the same way that the people in the Old Testament were saved. The book of Romans tells us again and again that Abraham was saved the same way that we are, by his faith. Abraham didn't know the name of Jesus or that one day Jesus would die on the cross for his sins, but he trusted all that he knew about the God who had shown Himself to Abraham. Because of that trust, when Jesus died thousands of years after Abraham, the same forgiveness that was offered to us was given to Abraham." "Let me be clear about what this means. A person who trusted in God without hearing the name of Jesus would be of the heart to immediately recognize that Jesus was the name of the one they believed in if they were ever to hear His name and story. They would know, just as Abraham would have known, that this is the truth about the God they have been following all of their lives."

The Daily Telegraph 11 September 2006 Sydney, Australia HELLO SAILOR, SAYS P&O "A P&O cruise ship will be transformed into a floating Mardi Gras after a gay tour group chartered the liner, forcing families to cancel their holidays. The NaviGAYtion cruise will head out of Sydney next March for a three-day cruise with 1800 people on board." Instead of bingo they will have "Bingay". "All Gay Cruises said it would encourage safe sex, with gift bags containing health information."

Editor’s Comment: This lifestyle is not natural but simply living "...the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves" Romans 1: 24.

Agape Press 5 September 2006 (Edited by DCB) "...A former New York Port Authority Police officer whose story has been immortalized in the film World Trade Center, says if it were not for his faith, his partner and he would never have been rescued from the rubble of the collapsed Twin Towers." The Officer said he had made peace with God and was then ready to die. "But then, the 9/11 survivor says he saw something miraculous. ‘It was a vision of Jesus,’ he says, ‘coming toward me, and I found a peace there. And when I felt that peace, I snapped out of that, I woke up, and I told the sergeant, 'We're going to get out of here.'" This Officer has been a lifelong Catholic.

South Wales police admitted evangelical Christian Stephen Green was then charged purely because his pamphlets contained anti-gay quotations from the Bible." "The decision to prosecute Mr Green is the latest in a series of police initiatives aimed against those who have expressed public disapproval of homosexual behaviour." An author who said on BBC Radio Five Live that "gays did not make ideal adoptive parents" was given a warning. However, a former leader in the Muslim Council of Britain was investigated after he said in an interview that "homosexuality was harmful" but no prosecution followed. The leaflets distributed by Mr. Green had as their heading "Same-Sex Love - Same-Sex Sex: What does the Bible Say?, and included a series of quotations from the 1611 King James Bible, a text usually regarded as one of the foundation stones of the English language."

"Fellowship Church, a new evangelical congregation in South Miami, celebrated its grand opening Sunday with a live rock band, free coffee, Cuban pastries and $5 gas cards for newcomers." This is only one of five venues Ed Young "pastors" from the main church in Grapevine, Texas. "Few of the 300 worshipers at Fellowship's Miami campus seemed to mind when the sermon was delivered through high-definition video and life-sized screens rather than a live pastor." One Fellowship member said "he preferred listening to a live preacher but joined Fellowship because his four children, a 12-year-old son and 14-year-old triplets, seemed engaged by the combination of TV and live music." Young said eventually he "expects to spend three to four months a year in South Florida." His goal he says is "to reach people who don't normally attend church."

Editor’s Comment: Here again is the man centered worship found in so many places today. It is all about ME, isn’t it?! Hebrews 3:10 "Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart; and they have not known my ways."
