Purpose: To inform and warn God's people of religious,
social, and political events in today's world.
Tennessee Temple University web site: 17 October, 2005
On the TTU’s home web page 17 October, 2005 was the announcement for the
27 October, 2005 contemporary music concert of, Big Daddy Weave & Ginny
Owens. TTU continues to drift further into new evangelicalism. Sadly "…how
are the mighty fallen!" (2Sa 1:19)
Agape Press 14 October, 2005 CALIF. SCHOOL OFFICIALS
AGREE TO ALLOW STUDENT'S DANCE TO CHRISTIAN SONG (Edited by DCB) "A
California high school says it will no longer prohibit a student from
using religious music to accompany her dance performance audition for a
January dance team concert. Officials with West High School in Torrance
initially told student Lauren Stoudt she could not choreograph her dance
to the song ‘In Your Presence’ because of the song's religious content."
The legal defense organization Alliance Defense Fund had sent a letter to
the school’s District Superintendent, the school’s Principal, and other
school officials warning "…them that legal action would be taken if they
continued to censor Stoudt's performance."
Editor’s Comment: 1Ti 6:12 "Fight the good fight
of faith…" 2Ti 4:7 "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course,
I have kept the faith." For some reason I do not believe Paul would have
seen this as a "Christian’s" fight of faith.
Agape Press 5 October, 2005 INDIA'S HIGH COURT TO
CONSIDER CHRISTIAN DALITS' DEMAND FOR EQUALITY (Edited by DCB) "The
Supreme Court of India will soon hear a case affecting millions of Dalit
Christians. At issue is whether Christian Dalits will be given the same
basic rights that Hindu, Sikh, and Buddhist Dalits already enjoy under the
law." Founder of Gospel For Asia K. P. Yohannan "was a key speaker at a
rally in 2001 at which Dalit leaders urged their people to leave Hinduism
and its oppressive caste system. He believes the case now pending before
India's highest court will be critical for the future of the millions of
Dalit men, women and children who suffer systemic persecution and
discrimination at the bottom of that system, many living as virtual slaves
for generations." Yohannan "…says current Indian laws give Dalit
Christians virtually no rights whatsoever. He explains, ‘The Hindu
fundamentalists in India know if these benefits for the Dalits are given
and nothing is going to stop it, that means there will be mass exodus
toward the Christian faith -- and that is what the problem is. They are
against [that].’" "The Supreme Court of India has set a new date, October
18, 2005, for reviewing the case. Members of the many outcaste advocacy
groups in India that have been calling on the government to end the
religious discrimination in the quota system are hopeful that this new
hearing date will be final and that the court will resolve the matter in
favor of equality for Dalit Christians."
Editor’s Comment: Praise the Lord if many in
India are coming to Christ by faith but is that the case or are they
converting to Christianity to flee the caste system?
WSBRadio.com 5 October 2005 COURTHOUSE SHOOTING:
PROSECUTORS TO SEEK DEATH PENALTY (Edited by DCB) "Prosecutors…gave
formal notice to alleged courthouse killer Brian Nichols that they intend
to seek the death penalty if he's convicted at trial."
"Nichols…is accused of overpowering a deputy escorting
him to his rape retrial on the morning of March 11, assaulting her and
stealing her weapon, and then killing a judge, court reporter, and one
deputy in and outside the Fulton County courthouse before fatally shooting
a federal agent at his Buckhead home later that night." "Nichols, who
reportedly recently converted to Islam while in jail, was dressed in a tan
suit and occasionally spoke to his attorneys."
Editor’s Comment: This is the same Brian Nichols
to whom was read The Purpose Driven Life! What happened? Why did he
convert to Islam rather than Christ? From all the publicity one would
think Warren’s The Purpose Driven everything and anything would have
brought Nichol’s to Christ rather than Islam! I am just wondering.
Daniel Pipes Weblog 15 October, 2005 Danger Signs of
Militant Islam At "[Finding Moderate Muslims:] Do You Believe in
Modernity?" I formulated questions to ask of Muslims to discern
whether they are moderates or not. The United America Committee has now
issued a useful list of complementary danger signs to discern signs
of radical Islam, which I list here:
1. Justification of any Islamic Terrorism, Palestinian
or otherwise
2. Supporting or refusing to condemn Osama Bin
Laden, Al Qaeda, Hamas, or other terrorists or terrorist organizations
by name
3. Promoting jihad for Muslims to fight against
what they determine is "injustice" or "aggression"
4 Demands for Sharia law in the West, or denying
that Sharia forbids equal rights for women and members of religions
other than Islam
5 Demanding that Americans accommodate the public
expression of Islamic laws, customs, and practices that conflict with,
or are harmful to American laws, customs, and practices
6 Denying that Muslims were involved in the
terrorist attacks of 9/11 and other attacks around the world
7 Charges or complaints of Muslims being unfairly
targeted in the War On Terror
(October 5, 2005) Permalink
Editor’s Comment: The Australian Government is
making big changes to its terrorism laws and the Islamic community is
crying foul. Our governments (Australian and United States) should read
and heed these 7 points.
