The Christian Post 15 November 2005 ADRIAN ROGERS DIES AT AGE 74 (Edited by DCB) "Dr. Adrian Rogers, one of the fathers of the conservative grassroots movement in the nation’s largest Protestant denomination, died early Tuesday morning after a battle with cancer and pneumonia. He was 74."

Association of Baptists for World Evangelism http://www.abwe.org/ 17 November 2005 (Edited by DCB) IS ABWE DRIFTING OR ANCHORED IN COMPROMISE? Having separated myself from ABWE in the early 90’s I have continued to follow their path of compromise. On the ABWE home page is: "ABWE partners with Mission Network News (MNN) to carry up-to-date reports of mission work around the world. Read news reports from other missions, as well as from ABWE." I clicked on this and this is what I found. http://www.abwe.org/news/mnn/ ABWE Headline Archive - News archive featuring ABWE related items. (Click this and: http://www.abwe.org/news/mnn/ abwe_archive.asp (On this site the following two articles were found) 10 Oct 2005 Romania (MNN) -- Also in Romania, in the 16 years since communism fell, a church in the capital city of Bucharest has been a missions-sending powerhouse in Romania and beyond. I did a Google search on Holy Trinity Baptist: http://www.google.com.au/search?hl=en&q=Holy+ Trinity+Baptist+Bucharest+Romania&spell=1 - Religion in Eastern Europe Vasile Alexandru Talos is the current president of the Romanian Baptist Union and pastor of Holy Trinity Baptist Church in Bucharest, Romania. .A further search on the Romania Baptist Union brings us to: [PDF] ROMANIA- MISSOURI – IMB PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT File Format: PDF/Adobe Acrobat - View as HTML

Romanian Baptist Union (UBR) ...

The PDF declares a lot of info including this:

A further search leads from the Romanian Baptist Union to the EBF:

EBF - European Baptist Federation

Representing Baptist churches in Europe. One of the six regions of the Baptist World Alliance, the EBF is a union of fifty national Baptist unions.

The trail continues: http://www.ebf.org/imp/ World Alliance, the EBF is a union of fifty national Baptist unions. Indigenous Missionary Project This leads us to: http://www.ebf.org/imp/partners.php Indigenous Missionary Project - Partners

The list of EBF mission partners (in alphabetical order - July 2005):

Editor’s Comment: The sincerity of the Romanian Baptist pastors and people are not the issue. The issue is their affiliations. What does this Internet trail reveal to a separatist? It reveals alignments of out and out compromise. It leads to the conclusion (at least to a separatist) that ABWE is no longer drifting in the sea of compromise but has anchored itself in the sea. NOTE THE Partnership agreement includes: the Missouri Baptist Convention and the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention. NOTE one of the partners of the Indigenous Missionary Project is the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship! The long cold hand of compromise reaches into the very core of the ABWE! Fifty years ago independent Baptists would have recoiled at this arrangement but sadly some who still call themselves independent Baptist do not even blink an eye when they read about such compromise today. If these independent Baptists think it is not compromise to associate and work with the SBC on foreign fields through ABWE why do they not formally join the SBC in the United States. At least as an SBC church their missionaries under the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention would save a lot of money and time. They wouldn’t need to spend two to four years warming the highways seeking financial support with a so called independent Baptist faith mission. In fact if ABWE does not see working with the SBC on foreign fields is not compromise then ABWE should be honest and shut its doors and seek a merger with the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention. That would not only be cost effective but it would be up front with supporters saying "since we can work with the SBC on the foreign fields we will join them in the USA as well." But then some jobs and positions may be lost and we would not want that, would we?

Yours against apostasy and for Biblical Truth, David C. Bennett, D. Min., Titus 2:13
