She and her partner of 15 years, Heather Poe, are ‘ecstatic’ about the baby, due in late spring, said a source close to the couple.”  A spokesman for the Cheney’s said “The vice president and Mrs. Cheney are looking forward with eager anticipation to the arrival of their sixth grandchild.”

Editor’s Comment: Mary Cheney did not just wake up pregnant one morning but she had to go through a process of IVF. Lesbianism and homosexuality is unnatural and without outside intervention will never produce off spring. When God chose a woman to bring forth His only begotten Son into this world He did not choose another woman to form the family but He chose a man, Joseph. A man and a woman has always been God’s plan! Matthew 19:4 “And he (Jesus) answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female.” Ephesians 5:31 “For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.” The Bible never speaks of two men, or two women coming together and becoming “one flesh”.

OTHERS WEIGH FALLOUT (Edited by DCB) Denver, USA “Separated by a confession of sin, the Rev. Paul Barnes and leaders of his former church will reunite this week and plot the road ahead. Meanwhile, others ponder the broader implications of a second consecutive evangelical pastor toppled by a gay‑sex scandal.”  The associate pastor of the church said Barnes’ infidelity was “infrequent, short, passing events in his life.” Barnes resigned only “after an anonymous caller alerted the church that someone talked about ‘blowing the whistle.’”  The leaders of the church will be discussing severance pay for the fallen pastor. For now the pastor and his wife are “getting professional counseling on two fronts from specialists in marriage and family crisis.”

Editor’s Comment: This is not the last we will hear of pastors resigning due to homosexual sin. Far too many preachers slide the word sin under the table in their preaching and in their lives. A preacher doesn’t have to be mean or nasty but he should warn people of what the Bible says about sin. When he is preaching and naming sins in his messages some of that preaching just might have an impact on his own heart. There is a pay day coming! Revelation 20: 8 “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”

USA — “Justin Lee believes that the Virgin birth was real, that there is a heaven and a hell, that salvation comes through Christ alone and that he, the 29‑year‑old son of Southern Baptists, is an evangelical Christian.” Lee has a web site in relation to “being a gay evangelical Christian.” His web site has “4,700 registered users” which are mostly “gay evangelicals.”   Then there is “Justin Cannon, 22, a seminarian who grew up in a conservative Episcopal parish in Michigan, started two Web sites, including an Internet dating site for gay Christians.” Cannon says 90% of those who log onto his web sites say they are “Looking for someone with whom I can share my faith and that it would be a central part of our relationship.” Mr. Cannon said, “so not just a life partner but someone with whom they can connect spiritually.”  However Robert Gagnon, an associate professor of New Testament at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary said “If by gay evangelical is meant someone who claims both to abide by the authority of Scripture and to engage in a self‑affirming manner in homosexual unions, then the concept gay evangelical is a contradiction.”

Editor’s Comment: I agree with Professor Gagnon. Jesus said in Matthew 16:24 “Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.” This denial includes the appetites of the flesh such as adultery and homosexuality. 1John 2:16 “For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.” God said in 1 Corinthians 7: 2 “Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.” Jude speaks of what is going on today when he wrote in his book verse 4 and 7 that “...there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ. Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.” Brethren be in the Word and let the Word be in you!
