HISTORIAN: FIRST ENGLISH BIBLE FUELED FIRST FUNDAMENTALISTS (Edited by DCB)
“The translation of the Bible into English marked the birth of
religious fundamentalism in medieval times, as well as the persecution that
often comes with radical adherence in any era, according to a new book”
written by Harvard English professor James Simpson. The 16th
English Reformation, where people were given the Bible in their own
language, is hailed by many as a time of deliverance, for the common people
for no longer had to rely on “the clergy to interpret the verses” of
Scripture. But to Simpson reading the Bible in one’s own language “became a
tightrope of terror across an abyss of predestination”. According to
Simpson, today’s rise of Islamic “fundamentalism” and its reign of terror is
ludicrously associated with the glorious freedom the English people enjoyed
when the Bible was translated into their own language. Simpson said we
definitely “…see the same phenomenon: newly literate people claiming that
the sacred text speaks for itself, and legitimates violence and
repression…and the same is also true of Christian fundamentalists.”
Editor’s Comment: This “wisdom” of the world blames Bible
believing people for most if not all of its problems. John 15:18 “If
the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.”
The Daily Telegraph (Sydney, Australia) 11 December, 2007 TIME TO
MAKE PEACE WITH THE PLANET: GORE (Edited by DCB) Al Bore (oops I mean Gore)
is at it again. As he received his Nobel Peace Prize he said it is “…time
to make peace with the planet.” The other man sharing the “peace” prize with
Gore is, Rajendra Pachauri. He “told leaders
at a UN climate conference in Indonesia to heed the wisdom of
science.”
Editor’s Comment: Romans 8: 22 “For
we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together
until now.” 1Co 1:20 “Where is the wise? where is the
scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made
foolish the wisdom of this world?” 1Ti 6:20 “O Timothy, keep
that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain
babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called.”

December, 2007 - US ICE STORM LEAVES 14 DEAD (Edited by DCB) “A DEADLY ice
storm sweeping through the US Plains left more than 400,000 people without
power as temperatures plunged and was blamed for at least 14 deaths,
authorities said today.”
Editor’s Comment: Not once in this article
did I read about global warming or climate change!!! I wonder why? Job 38:29
“Out of whose womb came the ice? and the hoary frost of heaven, who hath
gendered it?” Ps 147:17 “He casteth forth his ice like morsels: who
can stand before his cold?”

“All four-year-old children will have their weight checked as the
Federal Government begins its war on Australia's
bulging waistline.” According to the article medical information and
support will be given the parents whose “child is found to be overweight
or bordering on obese.”
Editor’s Comment: I predict that if the
Lord tarries His coming that in the very near future governments will
require people to have yearly health exams and if they are considered
obese they will pay a carbon tax.
UN CHIEF: WORLD RISKS OBLIVION WITHOUT DEAL TO BATTLE GLOBAL WARMING (Edited
by DCB) - It is amazing how the mantra of global warmimg and climate change
has become fact rather than theory. The secretary-general of the UN said
“The human race faces oblivion if it fails to confront global warming” as
the delegates “haggled over a new document strengthening a call for deeper
cuts in greenhouse gas emissions by rich nations.” He also said that the
world was “at a crossroad” and “One path leads to a comprehensive climate
change agreement, the other to oblivion. The choice is clear.” Is it really
clear? Of course all this saving of the planet takes money. The Global
Environment Facility is the body of the UN that receives the funds and so
far it has about sixty million dollars, to help “developing countries with
environmental projects”. However, “some countries accuse the facility of
being slow to distribute money.” Is that a surprise?!
Editor’s Comment: Psalm2: 2-4 “The
kings of the earth (the United Nations and those attending the
climate change conference in Nusa Dua, Bali) set themselves, and the
rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his
anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their
cords from us. He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord
shall have them in derision.”
2 Peter 3: 5-7 “For this they
willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of
old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby
the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: But the
heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in
store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of
ungodly men.”

11 December, 2007 - COLO. GUNMAN CAME FROM CHRISTIAN FAMILY (Edited by
DCB) “Matthew Murray, 24, has been identified as the gunman who killed
two staff members and wounded two others at a Youth With a Mission
facility…before killing two and wounding three others Dec. 9 at
New Life Church
in Colorado Springs.”
One of Murray’s neighbours said Matthew “and his
brother were homeschooled” and that the family was “very, very
religious”.
There are two things, maybe three, in
this report that Big Brother in Washington will seek to control now more
than ever and they are guns, and homeschooling, for sure, but also the
“very, very, religious” such as you and me!
God is still on the Throne and therefore dear
reader, may you rejoice with me that “God was manifest in the flesh”! That
is what Christmas is all about. Have a good Christmas and New Year.
