Standing unashamedly for the King James Bible

Sydney Morning Herald (SMH Hereafter) 2 January 2003 POPE CALLS FOR NEW WORLD ORDER –"Pope John Paul II rang in the New Year with a renewed call for peace in the Middle East and Africa and the creation of a new world order based on respect for the dignity of man and equality among nations."

John Paul said there was a need for the establishment of a "new international order" with the goals of the United Nations as its base. This new order would be "able to give adequate solutions to today's problems based on the dignity of the human being, on an integral development of society, on solidarity among nations rich and poor, on the sharing of resources and the extraordinary results of scientific and technical progress."

Editor’s Comment: Brethren, the Pope may be looking for "a new world order" but we who know Christ are "Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ." Titus 2:13.

Editor’s Comment: I was surprised 44% still consider Christmas a religious holiday. December 31, 2003 USA - CALIFORNIA'S SCHOOL-BIBLE BALLOT INITIATIVE GROUP PROMOTES CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT TO MAKE IT TEXTBOOK "A California group has submitted to the attorney general's office a proposed ballot initiative to amend the state constitution to make the King James Bible a textbook for public school students in grades 1 through 12 throughout the state."

This amendment requires "598,105 voter signatures to qualify for the ballot." The case for "the King James Bible of 1611 is ‘one of the supreme achievements of the English Renaissance, and is rightly regarded as one of the most influential books in the history of English civilization, which has served as a model of writing for generations of English-speaking people, and is an acclaimed literary work of great historic importance.’"

Those backing this initiative say the King James Bible is worthy of study "such secular disciplines as history, literature, culture, poetry, law, language, ethics, science and philosophy." There would not be any "devotional purpose nor any denominational instruction to accept or reject its religious components."

Those sponsoring this amendment say that in 1980 the United States Supreme Court said the Bible may be "integrated into the school curriculum, where the Bible may constitutionally be used in an appropriate study of history, civilization, ethics, comparative religion, or the like."

Editor’s Comment: It will be interesting to see if this proposed amendment is accepted. Those promoting this amendment have a web site on which they offer not a King James Bible but a free New King James Version for those requesting it. Sadly many believe the NKJV is an update of the KJB. Dr. D. A. Waite in DEFENDING THE KING JAMES BIBLE says on p.92 that he has "a computer printout of the analysis of the NEW KING JAMES VERSION comparing it to the Hebrew and Greek; and we give over 2,000 examples, chapter and verse, of where the editors have added to, subtracted from, or changed the Words of God by paraphrase." (Emphasis made in the book).

The Sentinel - United Kingdom – 22 December 2003- ANTI-GAY PREACHING ROW THREATENS TO SPLIT CHURCH "A Clergyman targeted in a hate mail campaign is calling for one of North Staffordshire's most senior church leaders to resign amid claims he has preached anti-gay messages from the pulpit. An inquiry has begun after Reverend Tony Craggs lodged a series of complaints with Methodist leaders in London about the way Reverend Ian Duffy handled the poison pen controversy."

Craggs claims Duffy "has breached church regulations by preaching anti-gay messages." and "has made inappropriate comments at meetings, fuelling gossip sparked by the hate campaign." Duffy has denied the allegations.

All this began when "anonymous letters and e-mails were circulated all over the country, criticising the close friendship of Reverend Craggs and Stoke-on-Trent preacher Mike Hall." Hall has now "quit his post" and has declined to comment on whether he is a Sodomite or not. Craggs is not shy in confirming "he shares a permanent and ‘covenanted’ friendship with Reverend Hall…" Craggs will not "discuss his sexuality and has described the letter writers, who have never been traced, as ‘spiritual terrorists’." As with most liberals Craggs "claims no Bible teaching prohibits a committed, same gender relationship."

Editor’s Comment: This man doesn’t read his Bible. Le 18:22; 20:13 "Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination. If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them." Romans 1: 26, 27 "For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet."

Agape Press 24 December 2003 THEOLOGIAN SAYS NON-CATHOLIC BELIEVERS SHOULD HONOR MARY – USA "A Southern Baptist theologian says he wrote an article in Christianity Today on the Virgin Mary in hopes of encouraging evangelical Christians and other Protestants to pay more attention to her."

This Southern Baptist theologian is Dr. Timothy George, "dean of Beeson Divinity School at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama." George is also "senior editor for Christianity Today magazine." and "has authored a doctrinal study for the Southern Baptist Convention."

George says he wrote the article "The Blessed Evangelical Mary" because so many "Evangelicals and Protestants have reacted so negatively in the past to Catholic teaching on Mary that many of these non-Catholic Christians may have ignored constructive material about the mother of Jesus in the Bible." The article he said was based "based on conversations he has had with Roman Catholics." whom he says gives "a great deal of devotion to Mary that we Evangelicals and Protestants feel is not appropriate biblically or can't be justified."

George is involved with Evangelicals and Catholics Together and he says most of the negativism to his article comes from "former Catholics who have become Protestants."

Editor’s Comment: The Walsingham, England web site for the Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham, says "Walsingham is the home of Mary where, like a mother, she is able to influence, guide, teach and love us, if we let her, just as she did her Son." Wake up Mr. George, Rome has not changed and it is leading millions straight to hell.
