Standing unashamedly for the King James Bible

Baptist Bible Tribune New Zealand December 2004, Issue No. 22 – INTERNATIONAL BAPTIST FINISHED "40 DAYS OF PURPOSE" (Edited by DCB) "International Baptist Church, Howick New Zealand wrapped up the 40 Days of Purpose campaign…September 12, 2004." In the same issue it said that "Beacon Baptist is pleased to announce that we have just finished 40 Days of Purpose programme."

Editor’s Comment: When these "fundamental" brethren cooperate in Warren’s 40 Days of Purpose they are aligning themselves with Assembly of God, Anglican, Baptist Union, and the Salvation Army to name just a few. This is from Rick Warren’s Saddleback web site: "…musical experiences ranges from accompanying the praise and worship music of John Tesh to playing with secular grunge rockers to performing with some of the top jazz musicians in the country. He also plays in Saddleback’s worship band on the weekends and in Purpose Driven Church conferences held on the Saddleback campus." Spurgeon would not or could not be silent on these things if he were alive today I am sure and neither should we. Are we my brethren, in the midst of a 'Down-Grade' controversy? The leaven of the world’s music has permeated the camp of the new evangelicals and has now spread into the camp of the fundamentalists and there doe not look like there is going to be a purging anytime soon.

Dubbo Daily Liberal 15 December 2004 'SCHOOLIES PACK' A HIT WITH YOUTH (Edited by DCB) "A project to arm school-leavers with an information kit on staying safe during end-of-year festivities has been hailed a success…" This pack paid for by the tax payer included "condoms" and "information on alcohol, sun safety, water intake, pregnancy, STDs and other material for ‘safe and healthy choices’ while partying."

Editor’s Comment: "…good moral character is the first essential in a man... and your conduct here may stamp your character through life. It is therefore highly important that you should endeavor not only to be learned but virtuous." George Washington Willow Creek Community Church web site 17 December 2004 BOARD OF ELDERS: PROVIDING BIBLICAL LEADERSHIP TO THE CHURCH - Many independent Baptists, and those Baptists associated with the GARBC, BBF and other Baptist groups are followers of Bill Hybels and Willow Creek. The Willow Creek web site lists the elders at Willow Creek and of the nine that are listed five are women.

Editor’s Comment: Paul said in1Corinthians 11:1 "Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ." not Bill Hybels and Willow Creek.

Willow Creek Community Church web site 17 December 2004 – "Friday, February 11, 2005 Cosmic Fingerprints — This message on the relationship between science and faith features noted astronomer Dr. Hugh Ross, and will be held in the main auditorium at 7 pm."

Editor’s Comment: Dr. John Whitcomb said that "By re-interpreting Creation, the Edemic Curse, and the Genesis Flood to harmonize with the godless perspectives of cosmic and geologic uniformatarianism, Dr. Ross has not only twisted God’s Word, but has distorted true science."

Address by the Secretary General of the Anglican Communion to Pope John Paul II Rome – Anglican Communion News Service - Friday, November 26, 2004 (Edited by DCB) "18 November 2004 - Your Holiness

"We Anglicans are naturally proud of our own history, stretching back to the ancient Celtic churches of the British Isles, and of our conviction that in our life we have retained Catholic faith and order. It is precisely this history, however, that has given a distinctive impetus to our resolve to seek full visible unity with the Catholic Church as a key element of our ecumenical endeavour."

"Increasingly, however, we are learning that the life of all Christ's disciples is interdependent, and the wisdom and counsel of the successor to the See of Peter is one particular voice, which the Anglican Communion has come, in the spirit of the ecumenical movement, to hold in high value and respect. Your own ministry, generosity of spirit and hospitality, your Holiness, has played no small part in the nurture of confidence in the conversations between our two communions."

Editor’s Comment: "We wish we could say a word kindly but forcibly in the ear of our brethren, who are still in fellowship with the works of darkness practised in the Anglican denomination of Romanists. When will you come out? How far is the corrupt element to prevail before you will separate from it?" Spurgeon in Tract No. 9.

EPISCOPAL NEWS SERVICE 9 December 2004 ROCK 'N' ROLL BISHOP RELEASES CONCERT DISC (Edited by DCB) "Rock and roll may once have been regarded as the devil's music, but the Rt. Rev. John Bryson Chane, Episcopal Bishop of Washington, has found a way to make it do the Lord's work. Chane, a former rock and blues drummer, has just released a compact disc featuring the foot-stomping, sweat-raising reunion concert that he and five band mates played at a Washington-area hotel in April. Proceeds from the sale of The Chane Gang… The disc is composed of 13 rock and blues classics, including Mustang Sally, Not Fade Away, Gimme Some Lovin' and Suzy Q."

Editor’s Comment: 2 Peter 2:22 "But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire."

EPISCOPAL NEWS SERVICE 24 December 2004 "The Archbishop of Canterbury and St. Nicholas listen to Jane Williams…at the annual Nicholasfest in Canterbury, England, December 4. The largest crowd in the four year event history were on hand to sing, dance and pray in honor of the original Santa Claus." Editor’s Comment: 1Timothy 4:1 "Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils."

Yours against apostasy and for Biblical Truth,
