Standing unashamedly for the King James Bible

11 July 2008 - (Edited by DCB) – Right now it is only in California that “… newly passed legislation mandates that, beginning in 2009, all new-model cars be labeled with global-warming scores. Ranging from 1-10, the scores will be based on emission calculations and will join vehicle smog scores, already required by law.” However, “New York is slated to follow suit with a similar law in 2010, and the European Union is considering taking it a step further by actually putting a price on emissions. Nothing like new taxes to make government salivate.”

11 July 2008 - (Edited by DCB) – In the Land Down Under, the fear of global warming has begun with two Australian psychiatrists supposedly detecting “…the first case of ‘climate change delusion.’’ The two psychiatrists from “…the Royal Children’s Hospital wrote, ‘A 17-year-old man was referred to the inpatient psychiatric unit at Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne with an eight-month history of depressed mood... He also... had visions of apocalyptic events.’ They continued, ‘The patient had also developed the belief that, due to climate change, his own water consumption could lead within days to the deaths of millions of people through exhaustion of water supplies.’”

PRESIDENTIAL BALLOT BOX MAKES ROUNDS AT MEDIA FEST (Edited by DCB) - SUN VALLEY, Idaho – The Democratic Presidential candidate “Barack Obama appears to be the favorite White House contender among media moguls at an annual Idaho retreat, even if they remain uncertain how a victory by the Illinois Democrat would affect their businesses.” Australian born but now a citizen of the USA, Rupert Murdoch, spent an hour with Obama and “was impressed”. Murdoch said, “"There's a sliver of hope that America could be great under Obama.” Murdoch, who is politically savvy, said, “But I like…McCain too.”,22049,24010691-5001021,00.html HIGH HOPES FOR OUR FIRST SAINT 13 July 2008 (Edited by DCB) – Sadly many believe the Roman organization has the right to declare a person a saint and that is exactly what many Australians are hoping will soon happen with “…the nation's most famous nun, Mary MacKillop”. While the Roman Pope was in Australia for the World Youth Day “Congregational leader at the Sisters of St Joseph Anne Derwin said she hoped to push MacKillop's case when the Pope…”  She said, “We'll be whispering to him in his ear that all of Australia is waiting to hear the news of her canonisation and just reminding him that there is a lot of goodness in Australians.”

Editors Comment: Philippians 1: 1 “Paul and Timotheus, the servants of Jesus Christ, to all the saints in Christ Jesus which are at Philippi…” Note a saint is “in Christ Jesus” which means they were born again, and secondly they were alive at the time of the writing of the book of Philippians.

MARY MACKILLOP 'ON WAY TO SAINTHOOD' 17 July 2008 (Edited by DCB) – This story is a continuation of the previous story in that

“Nuns say they were assured by Pope Benedict XVI today that the founder of their order, Mary MacKillop, was on her way to becoming the Australia's first saint.” MacKillop was beatified in 1995 and the Roman Vatican only “…needs confirmation of a second miracle attributed to her in order to make her a saint.”

Editors Comment: Is it not sad so many are “deceiving, and being deceived” 2 Timothy 3: 13?

POPE URGES CHRISTIANS TO WORK TOGETHER 18 July 2008 (Edited by DCB) Sydney, Australia- While in Sydney, the Roman Pope called on fifty “…Christian leaders from different churches to co-operate to promote their religious beliefs and attract more people to the faith.”  These fifty represented “…the Anglican, Uniting, Catholic Lutheran, Maronite and Melkite and Assemblies of God churches, as well as representatives of Christian churches in Syria and India, among others.” This meeting took place “In the crypt of Sydney's St Mary's Cathedral…”

Editors Comment: What better place could the leader of dead works meet with other ecumencial religious leaders!,22049,24050059-5001021,00.html POPE BENEDICT XVI THANKS SYDNEY FOR WORLD YOUTH DAY 21 July 2008 (Edited by DCB) – Last week was quite a week with television giving the Australian people hours of viewing the so called celebration of the Roman Catholic World Youth Day and the Pope holding the largest mass ever in Australia, Sunday 20 July. Today, Monday 21 July, finally the Roman “POPE Benedict XVI has boarded a Qantas flight for his flight back to Rome…” As for his stay in Sydney, the Pope said there were several things that stood out in his mind and they were the memorial to Mary MacKillop and the Romish Stations of the Cross. Therefore, with the visit to Australia by the Roman leader, Australia may now obtain its own Roman made saint. Then as the Roman Pope was ready to fly back to Italy the Australian Prime Minister announced Australia would be sending its first ambassador to the Vatican early next year. The former Deputy Prime Minister and Nationals leader, Tim Fisher, would fill this position. The question rolling around in the head of this editor is why does Australia need an ambassador at the Vatican?

To help answer that question rolling around in my head it was interesting to read,25197,23298568-5013460,00.html for 1 March 2008. What this article in the Australian said was very interesting, especially as it was written almost five months earlier. In part, it said an, “…ideal appointment would be political rather than a career diplomat. To get the best out of the appointment in the lead-up to the Pope's visit the new ambassador should be a high-profile, high-achieving Catholic with connections already in the Vatican and known to enjoy the personal confidence of the Prime Minister.” In light of this article, the appointment of supposedly political conservative Tim Fisher says a lot about Mr. Fisher and Kevin Rudd. The article goes on to say, “Such an ambassador may help Rudd play a small role in one of the most critical international negotiations to be carried out in the next decade. One day the Vatican and Beijing will establish diplomatic relations. The Vatican is a generous partner but it's not stupid. It won't offer such a gift to China without an improvement in the treatment of China's Catholics. This negotiation could not only be a huge diplomatic deal but it could transform the atmosphere of religious freedom in China.

If Australia has an input, it will mostly be in Beijing. But an alert, plugged-in ambassador at the Vatican could make a contribution.”

Editors Comment: After having the Roman Pope visit Australia and the Prime Minister appointing an ambassador to the Vatican it might be appropriate to read Revelation 19:20 “And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.” OLDEST BIBLE PIECED TOGETHER 22 July 2008 (Edited by DCB) – “The oldest surviving copy of the New Testament, a 4th century version that had its Gospels and epistles spread across the world, is being made whole again -- online.” The full text of Codex Sinaticus will be available to web users by next July but a preview of it will hit the web sooner so says the British Museum.

Editors Comment: According to Dean John Burgon “next to D” Sinaticus “is the most untrustworthy codex”.
