Standing unashamedly for the King James Bible

http://www.bpnews.net/BPnews.asp?ID=28326  CBF PRESENTER QUESTIONS CHRIST'S DEITY 19 June 2008 (Edited by DCB) The Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) is supposedly controlled by the Conservatives and yet many churches affiliated with the SBC are aligned with the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship (CBF).  A simple church search on both web sites will prove this correct. On 19 June 2008, John Killinger, “Executive minister and theologian in residence at Marble Collegiate Church in New York City” conducted a workshop at the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship General Assembly in Memphis, Tennessee. It really doe not matter what Scripture says; for Kilinger states “Doctrine isn't the driving force to many people today (except) to the fundamentalists who insist on it”. For him “…doctrine is a thing of the past now religiously.” As to the Gospels, he despises John. Why does he desipse John’s Gospel? It is, “because John was so assertive about the incarnation and the role of Christ". And this man is invited to lead a workshop! According to Killinger we need “…to go back to Mark and Matthew and Luke to see the more human side of Jesus, who was anointed at the time of His baptism to be the savior of Israel, but not necessarily to be the preexistent one that we find in John.” Seeking to cover up its own apostasy the CBF seeks to protect itself by stating in their “General Assembly Guide”  that “The opinions presented in General Assembly ministry workshops are those of the workshop presenters and do not necessarily reflect of the viewpoint of, or endorsement by, The Fellowship or its members.” Unless you agreed with Killinger, why give him a worskshop? My blood ran hot reading the article and any “conservative”, if there was any present, should have verbally protested such unscriptural talk! Sadly, this apostasy has not only leavened the Cooperative Baptists and the SBC but it has seeped into once “fundamental” groups as well.  The circle of true fellowship is getting smaller brethren, as the clock ticks closer to the coming of Christ in the air.

http://www.news.com.au/dailytelegraph/story/0,22049,23919953-5005941,00.html MUSLIMS WARNED ON POLYGAMY 25 June 25 2008 (Edited by DCB) Australian Federal Attorney-General Robert McClelland has put “Muslims living in polygamous marriages…on notice”. Polgamous marriages are illegal under the Australian Marriage Act, which says, “…marriage is between a man and a woman to the exclusion of all others.”  However, a sheikh with the Islamic Welfare centre in Sydney said, “Polygamous marriages do exist among Australian Muslims”.  However, “…the debate on polygamous marriages was entirely different to issues surrounding same-sex marriage and discrimination of homosexual couples.” The Attorney-General said, “The same-sex law reforms that we've introduced remove discrimination. But we've confirmed and reiterated a number of times that the Marriage Act defines marriage as being between a man and a woman to the exclusion of all others so a polygamous marriage necessarily offends that definition and we won't be changing it.'” The Muslim Sheik “…said polygamous marriages should be recognised under law.” Because of so-called multi-culturalism and political corectedness, it is just a matter of time before polygamous and same-sex marriages are recognized in Australia.

Church as many of us know it is too old fashioned for today’s contemporary culture so “NewSpring is a church dedicated to providing you with an electric worship service where you will learn how the Bible and God directly apply to your life and the circumstances you are dealing with today. So come as you are, and dress however you want; from shirt and tie to sandals and shorts, everyone is welcome here. Whether you are single, married, a parent, teen or child, we strive to make church creative, relevant and excellent for you each week. Come and sing to the top of your lungs, share your faith, and be prepared for a life-changing experience.” “Come as you are”! What does that really mean? Think about it, exactly how far can a “church’ really carry that expression “come as you are?” How about a nudist? May they really attend dressed however, they want, or in this case not dressed?  Can a “church’ be totally “contemporary” with the “culture”?

How far does a church go to attract the unsaved or to keep the “Christian” “excited” about their life in Christ? Well, “It’s back and better than ever! LifeChurch.tv's most anticipated annual event "At the Movies", a message series where we screen today's blockbuster hits in a way that will impact you like never before. Don’t Miss It!* We're popping the popcorn, setting up the concession stands and best of all charging no admission! Come see what happens when Hollywood meets church! Premieres the weekend of July 5-6! For more information and experience times, visit our website at www.lifechurch.tv. *Each "At the Movies" experience is a live-only, first-run event, not available on DVD, podcast or rebroadcast.”

Is it too old fashioned for the church to just meet together to sing the “old” hymns unto the Lord and hear the preaching of the Word?

Hillsong is probably the largest “church” in Australia. Each year Hillsong holds a conference that attracts thousand from around the world.  Some of the speakers for the 2009 conference will be Joel Osteen and his wife Victoria. They (according to the website) “are the Senior Pastors (Note they are both classified here as a senior pastor!) of the largest and fastest growing church in the USA with more than 40,000 attendees”. Forty thousand! With that, many attending this type of “church” no wonder the United States is on the brink of collapse! Then there is Craig Groeschel, “the founding and senior pastor of LifeChurch.tv”. The “church” that Greg Groeschel pastors has “almost fifty weekend worship experiences currently at twelve different locations throughout the United States.”

Australia’s Hillsong is influencing many including the Baptists through their ecumenical conferences and contemporary music. According to July 8,  the 2008 Hillsong Conference “is also serving as a warm-up act to World Youth Day, which is expected to draw hundreds of thousands of Catholic youth from Australia and around the world next week. According to the Sydney Morning Herald, the Catholic Church is borrowing Hillsong's headline act for World Youth Day in its own attempt at mass youth evangelism. Hillsong's worship pastor, Darlene Zschech, and her band will perform at a concert held after the Stations of the Cross on Friday, July 18.” Darlene Zschech wrote “Shout to the Lord” which is used by churches around the world including the new Southern Baptist Hymnal.  The ecumenical movement is growing ever so rapidly particularly through their music.

http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=D91PSS4G0&show_article=1 MCCAIN, OBAMA PITCH ECONOMIC PLANS TO HISPANICS 8 July 2008 (Edited by DCB) – Obtaining the position as President of the United States seems to require a person to be all things to all groups. Both McCain and Obama “were pressing anew their support for comprehensive immigration reform, a bedrock issue for Latinos, in separate speeches to the League of United Latin American Citizens.” Obama said, “For eight long years, we've had a president who made all kinds of promises to Latinos on the campaign trail, but failed to live up to them in the White House, and we can't afford that anymore.” Both men “pledged to make overhauling the country's immigration a priority in separate appearances to the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials conference. McCain assured that audience that he wouldn't pursue the enforcement-only approach sought by hard-line GOP conservatives, while Obama accused McCain of walking away from comprehensive immigration reform. Both…support a temporary worker program and eventual path to citizenship for millions of immigrants in the country illegally.” However, “after a comprehensive Senate bill failed last summer amid coast-to-coast public outcry that split the GOP, McCain has added that the borders must be secure first before people will accept other reforms.” According to http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=D8G6u2ko8&show_article=1 there are up to 12 million illegals in the USA and they account for one in every twenty American workers. Considering (1) the Presidential candidates, (2) the largest churches and popular preachers in the USA, (3) the continued murder of the unborn and (4) the growing acceptance of sodomy, the USA is slowly but surely commiting suicide.

POPE TO GREET ONE OF THE WORLD'S LEAST RELIGIOUS NATIONS 7 July 2008 (Edited by DCB) – Australia will be the host coutry for the Roman Catholic World Youth Day (WYD) 15 to 20 July 208. According to recent research, Australia “…is one of the least religious nations in the western world” with 52% of Australians never or seldom attending “a church, mosque, synagogue, or temple for religious purposes, according to a survey by Germany’s Bertelsmann Foundation.”  The research found that, “Only a quarter of the population described themselves as deeply religious. Meanwhile, 44 percent say religion does not play a central role in their lives. And nearly a third (28 percent) said they are not religious at all.” The same research showed that “only four countries showed lower interest in religion than Australia – Russia, France, Germany and the United Kingdom.”

http://www.smh.com.au/news/national/jesus-romps-home-on-the-donkey-vote/2008/07/08/1215282835439.html JESUS ROMPS HOME ON THE DONKEY VOTE 9 July 2008 (Edited by DCB) – It is interesting that more Australians “would tick the "no religion" box on the Australian census form - if only they could find it, according to the director of the Australian National Secular Association.” In the 2006 census, almost 20% ticked the “no religion” box compared to 32% in New Zealand. “On the eve of the secularists' annual conference in the State Parliament theatrette…Dr Wallace said Christianity had been on the decline in Australia since at least 1971.” “Secularist organisations also consider the question in the Australian census ‘What is the person's religion?’ to be biased because it implies everyone has a religion. The Victorian Humanist Society has argued that the wording leads many who have lost their faith to mark down the religion in which they were raised, thus underestimating the number of ‘no religions’.” According to Dr Max Walker Australia lacks a “constitutional separation of church and state” and for that reason, “Australian governments had contributed $160 million to World Youth Day, about four times the amount contributed by the Canadian and German governments when the event was held in those countries.”

http://www.smh.com.au/news/world-youth-day/festival-will-bring-gifts-from-god-say-pilgrims/2008/07/08/1215282835384.html FESTIVAL WILL BRING GIFTS FROM GOD, SAY PILGRIMS

9 July 2008 (Edited by DCB) – With the World Youth Days (WYD), being held in Sydney 15 – 20 July, the Church of Rome will give full indulgences “…to the faithful who will devotedly participate at some sacred function or pious exercise taking place’ at World Youth Day”. It will also give “A partial indulgence…to ‘all those who, wherever they are, will pray for the spiritual goals of this meeting and for its happy outcome.’” According to Rome, the “Church” is the minister of Christ's redemption and therefore is able to dispense graces and indulgences. Sister Mary Alma from Cleveland, Ohio said she thinks, “…there is going to be an outpouring of God's grace and there will be many gifts from God to Australia and the youth of the world." She went on to say, that young people “…want more for their lives and this is the place people will find it.” This den of apostasy teaches, “…that sins require purification in this life or the next and that purification in this life takes place through prayer, acts of charity and the patient bearing of trials and sufferings - or via dispensation of indulgences.” The band of ecumenists who cooperate with Rome are sending people, young and old, rushing straight to hell!

Because of Grace and Calvary,
