Standing unashamedly for the King James Bible

http://www.christianpost.com/article/20091103/christians-urged-to-speak-out-against-uganda-s-anti-gay-bill/index.html Nov. 03 2009 - CHRISTIANS URGED TO SPEAK OUT AGAINST UGANDA'S ANTI-GAY BILL (Edited by DCB) As the unseemly sodomite lifestyle (Romans 1: 27) continues to be promoted in America and Australia as just another alternate way of life it is not a total surprise that Thousands of Americans are expressing outrage over a new bill in Uganda that would heavily penalize those involved in homosexuality. This outrage is because in Uganda The Anti-Homosexuality Bill, which is currently being debated, imposes punishment not only on gays and lesbians who engage in homosexual behavior, but also those who support gay organizations or who know about a homosexual and fail to report it to authorities. However, psychology associate professor Dr. Warren Throckmorton believes American Christians have some culpability for this situation by going to Uganda and failing to speak against this error and they ...need to step up and speak now. Instead of condemning the act of sodomy the good doctor has started a Facebook page to spread awareness about the bill and urge the public to voice their opposition. The page already has more than 2,500 members from around the globe, many of them speechless over the new bill. Whether one agrees in total with the bill at least the Uganda government has enough morals to oppose that which is unseemly and perhaps halt some from receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet Romans 1: 27.

http://www.christianpost.com/article/20091101/churches-celebrate-10th-anniversary-of-justification-agreement/index.html Nov. 01 2009 CHURCHES CELEBRATE 10TH ANNIVERSARY OF 'JUSTIFICATION' AGREEMENT (Edited by DCB) Ecumenical Methodists, Lutherans and Roman Catholics worldwide on Saturday observed the tenth anniversary of the signing of a landmark ecumenical agreement considered as one of the most significant since the Reformation. It was On Oct. 31, 1999, representatives of the Roman Catholic Church and the Lutheran World Federation got together to sign the Joint Declaration on the Doctrine of Justification, in which the two church bodies together confessed: By grace alone, in faith in Christ's saving work and not because of any merit on our part, we are accepted by God and receive the Holy Spirit, who renews our hearts while equipping and calling us to good works. It was later adopted by the World Methodist Council which comprises most of the world's Wesleyan denominations.

It is well to remember that Error always cloaks itself in reasonable sounding phrases and often makes use of the scheme of the evil one to twist the Scriptures.[1] Richard Bennett went on to say The voice of JD is distinctly that of the Scriptures; the hands, however, are the hairy hands of Rome.[2] It is as Mr. Bennett says later on page 10 that JD is nothing but doublespeak which Rome is good at.

FROM GODS, TO GOD, TO GAIA 6 November, 2009 (Edited by DCB) Most readers of this newsletter already are aware that the Jesus Seminar is apostate but it is sometimes informative to see what they are doing to further promote apostasy. The latest book by Lloyd Geering is one of those which encourages the furtherance of this departure from ...the faith which was once delivered unto the saints Jude 1:3. The endorsement of Geerings book on the Jesus Seminar website says The mainline churches in the Western world are declining...because they are all out of step with the modern secular world. This is not so much a result of the supposed renegade behavior of the secular world as the failure of the church to take the next steps in its path of faith. Abraham left his idols behind to go out into the unknown. In contrast, the churches reveal a lack of faith by insisting on an infallible Bible and a set of unchangeable doctrines tailored to an obsolete worldview (Emphasis added by this editor). In Coming Back to Earth, Geering calls upon us to complete the work of the Second Axial Age by bringing the sacred—banished to an imaginary heavenly realm in the wake of the First Axial Age—back to earth.

This is unbelief and   ...as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith 2Timothy 3:8.

http://www.christ-community.net/sermons/sermon03_04_07.htm In the above article the Second and First Axial Age was mentioned. The following is a sermon from the above website and has been edited by this editor (DCB). This so called sermon explains what the First and Second Axial supposedly are and shows the unbelief of the sermons preacher. According to Christ Community is an independent community.... It was formerly a member church of the Reformed Church in America.... Also at the same website it states that Christ (using the Lords title Christ is a misnomer for this group) Community Church ...includes people who describe themselves as Christian, Buddhist, spiritual atheist or no particular label. Many also have a deep passion for seeking the Spirit that is common to all faiths. Underlining for emphasis has been added in the following sermon by this editor (DCB).

 Jesus the Axial Sage

Whether you believe that Jesus was a historical figure or a myth, it is helpful to understand that this story did not just come out of the sky and land 2000 years ago.  The story of Jesus emerged at a particular time in history, and it is helpful to understand the context into which this story emerged.  That context was the Axial Age.  Axial is another word for pivotal,...and in the centuries before the life of Jesus, it has been suggested that the world had moved into an Axial Age, where in China, India and Greece, some of the same patterns emerged...  Confucianism and Taoism emerged in China, Hinduism and Buddhism in India, and rationalism in Greece, and the story of the sage Jesus emerged out of this same axial period. This is what they believe about the Lord Jesus Christ!

The Axial religions were a movement toward individualism, to self-empowerment and self-knowledge, so you can understand that the stage was set for Jesus.

This axial age pattern prevents us from getting too dogmatic, because as Christianity was evolving, so was Confucianism, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism and many other religions, and they all had essentially the same message.  That stops us from holding too closely to a belief that Christianity is the only true way.  We can appreciate the Christian tradition. We can be inspired by Christianity. We can claim it as part of our identity. But we cant claim that it is unique. This is out and out unbelief. This group should remove the word Christian from their name!

Something else took place after the time of Jesus, which also keeps us from holding too tightly to particular beliefs: the arrival of Mohammad, about five centuries after Jesus.  There is more solid historical evidence for the existence of Mohammad than there is for Jesus.

Our Christian tradition grows out of the same roots as Islam, and what a profound message for our world at this time. We have the same basic message, that of compassion and self-empowerment. The Gnostics of the first centuries understood the pivotal change that they were a part of during the Axial Age, so they were encouraging self-knowledge.

We stand at a moment of great opportunity, when we are moving into...a second Axial Age.  If the first Axial Age was about individualism...this Axial Age that we are now a part of is a global consciousness. It is about understanding ourselves as part of an interrelated whole, with a global network...and a growing awareness that God is present in us, in others, the earth, and in life itself.

This second Axial Age is a bringing together of the east and the west.  Sounds like a lead up to the one world religion with the false prophet of Revelation as its head.

Do not be deceived.  God is every action that you take, every word that you speak.  In your actions of compassion toward people, you are no more and no less than manifesting on God.

This is definitely that of which ...the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils 1Timothy 4:1.

Brethren, apostasy and unbelief is widespread and it seems the world is rushing recklessly toward its demise so ...abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming 1John 2:28.

Because of Calvary,

David C. Bennett, D. Min.
