Standing unashamedly for the King James Bible!/abweministries?sk=wall FREE SUMMER MISSIONS TRIP TO AFRICA 5 March, 2012 (Edited by DCB)  So you think you have heard everything? As faith supported missionaries struggle to find support a faith based mission agency, the Association of Baptists for World Evangelism (ABWE), has the extra funds to send one of their ...Facebook friends to help minister at the site of a future missions hospital in Togo, West Africa. Are you wondering how a mission agency has the funds to send a Facebook friend to the mission field with all expenses paid? I do! (Edited by DCB)  This was on the same page as the above. As ABWE picks a Facebook friend to send to Togo with all expenses paid, one of their own appointees writes With 4 months left to raise support commitments of $1400/month, we can not see how God is going to provide. Yesterday we got a note that one of our churches is sending in an extra gift to our support account. Still a long way to go, but bit by bit, God will work a miracle and He gives glimmers of hope as we faithwalk. The appointee walks by faith while seeking financial support from churches and at the same time the mission agency has enough funds to send a Facebook friend to Togo! Figure that! CONVICTED CHILD MOLESTER, INDEPENDENT BAPTIST PASTOR TOMMY GENE DANIELS SENTENCED TO 158 YEARS March 5th, 2012  (Edited by DCB)  Independent Baptist pastor Tommy Gene Daniels of Rio Linda Baptist Church Pastor has been sentenced to 158 years to life in prison. He was convicted last December (2011) of molesting five little girls under the care of him and his wife in the state sanctioned child care facility that they ran out of their home.  The churchs web site is currently undergoing new construction but as of the 6th of March, 2012, Daniels is still listed at as the pastor of this church.

If this man is guilty he has received his rightful sentence. If he is not guilty it is very sad that it came to this. What can we learn from this situation? The first thing is to recognize that The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? Jeremiah 17:9. The second is as believers we must be growing in the Scriptures, Hebrews 5:14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. Psalm 119:11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. Spiritual growth and discernment seems to be lacking in many professing Christians! The third thing is to simply follow 1Thessalonians 5:22 Abstain from all appearance of evil. Today one has to be so very careful! It is assumed this man and his wife thought they were doing good by these girls but at the same time they were opening themselves up to allegations, true or false. 1Timothy 6:11 But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness. SCHOOL LESSONS FOR OPTIMISM WITH NEW MENTAL HEALTH CLASSES March 7, 2012 (Edited by DCB)  It seems to this editor that governments and mental health experts want all of us on some type of medication or in some form of therapy. In the Australian state of New South Wales MENTAL health classes will be given to thousands of high school students across the state in a bid to counter soaring rates of depression and mental illness among adolescents. Society is in such a mess that The Black Dog Institute will start rolling out a $500,000 mental health program for Year 9 and Year 10 students in 800 government and non-government schools from the middle of the year. In this program ...teachers will be trained to deliver messages on key mental health issues including mood disorders, at-risk personality types, recognising symptoms, the benefits of therapy and how to build resilience. Believe it or not the Data shows the number of children in public schools with mental health disorders, including depression and serious behavioural disorders, has almost doubled to 8000 over the past eight years. The Telegraph had an online survey and surprisingly the majority agreed with this programme. Results: Today's poll - Do you agree with mental health courses being taught in schools?

Yes 67.95% (1145 votes)

 No 32.05% (540 votes)
