Standing unashamedly for the King James Bible

http://www.anglicancommunion.org/acns/news.cfm/2011/11/18/ACNS4981 CHURCH ABUSE THE BIGGEST STUMBLING BLOCK TO CHRISTIAN BELIEF, SURVEY FINDS November 18, 2011 (Edited by DCB) A survey commissioned by Olive Tree Media which is led by Sydney Baptist pastor Karl Faase, a former Executive Director of Arrow Leadership Australia and conducted by McCrindle Research in October, based on an online national survey of 1094 people and followed up with three focus groups made up of non-Christians. It was designed to prepare for a new Apologetics Series being produced by Olive Tree Media in 2012, which will tackle the issues arising from the research. Several... findings were that:

·         51% of respondents were not open at all to changing their religious world view;

·         Parents and families were by far the biggest influence on perceptions and opinions of Christians and Christianity (67%), followed by mass and social media (25%) and networks and relationships (24%);

·         42% of those surveyed said Jesus was an ordinary man who had no divine powers and 17% said He did not exist at all;

·         80% of respondents believed that Jesus died on a cross but only 52% believed he rose from the dead; and

·         More than half the respondents could identify key teachings of Jesus I have come that you may have life… (62%); Do unto others as you would have them do unto you (62%) and This is my commandment, that you love one another… (51%).

Only one in every two Australians identified with a religion, with only two-fifths of the population declaring themselves to be Christians... Interestingly 31% of respondents did not identify with any religion or spiritual belief, while 19% said they were spiritual, not religious.

http://www.politico.com/news/stories/1111/69039.html CROSS REMOVED AT BASE IN AFGHANISTAN 23 November, 2011 (Edited by DCB) While Australian and American boys are being killed in Afghanistan A large cross that had been prominently displayed outside a chapel on an isolated military base in northern Afghanistan was taken down... prompting outrage from some American service members stationed there. According to a Pentagon spokesperson Commander William Speaks...The removal was, in fact, in accordance with Army regulations and pointed out that the Army chaplain manual prohibits permanent display of religious symbols. As one soldier said I really dont understand why Christians are always attacked. If it was a crescent moon on top of a mosque, it would never be taken down. Well, it isnt a crescent it is a cross and that is why it is coming down!

http://www.crosswalk.com/blogs/dr-ray-pritchard/a-morning-with-michael-loftis-1366468.html In meandering through the Internet I came across Ray Pritchards blog and in it he quotes the former president of the Association of Baptists for World Evangelism (ABWE) Michael Loftis. Mr. Pritchard said ....Michael talked a lot about how there has been a tectonic shift in evangelicalism as a younger generation has risen to leadership in many ministries. Old walls are coming down and Christian ministries are forming new partnerships for the sake the gospel. I heartily applaud this and think it's a wonderful witness to the world when Christians learn how to set aside their differences and decide to major on the majors and not on the minors.

Tonight I'm speaking at their annual Christmas banquet. They invite people from the community, vendors and those who have served them to come for dinner, music and a short message. Afterwards Michael will give a simple gospel presentation. All those attending will receive a packet of books, including something by Rick Warren... (Emphasis added by DCB)

            I have often wondered who decides what the majors and minors are but those  fourteen underlined words speak volumes concerning Mr. Loftis, ABWE and Pritchard. Isaiah 22:5 For it is a day of trouble, and of treading down, and of perplexity by the Lord GOD of hosts in the valley of vision, breaking down the walls...

http://baptistbulletin.org/?p=14438 SHAKE HANDS OFTEN- February, 2011 (Edited by DCB) - This is old news but Calvary Baptist Seminarys choice of SBC Mark Dever was the cause of some discussion in circles where sharing the platform with evangelicals is considered a violation of fundamentalist ideals. Dever told the attendees to Keep clear fences. Keep them low. Shake hands often. Tim Jordan, president of Calvary Baptist seminary told the conference crowd that he first heard Dever preach at the 2006 Together for the Gospel Conference, an event that helped Jordan understand the relationship between fundamentalists and conservative evangelicals. Those attending the conference included men ...from the GARBC, Fundamental Baptist Fellowship Association, IFCA, and many independent Baptists loosely affiliated with the educational institutions that were represented. Together, the overall effect was one of fundamentalist convergence—overlapping constituencies that historically did not meet together for such events. This old news leads to the next article.

http://t4g.org/ Together 4 the Gospel seems to have contributed to breaking down whatever was remaining of the wall of separation at Calvary Seminary and seems to fit what Michael Loftis was referring to when he said Old walls are coming down and Christian ministries are forming new partnerships for the sake the gospel. For instance Southern Baptist Mark Dever who spoke at Calvary Baptist seminary in February, 2011 is also one of the plenary speakers at the 2012 t4g conference as is CJ Mahaney. Mahaney leads Sovereign Grace Ministries http://www.sovereigngraceministries.org/about-us/what-we-believe.aspx. This group say they are ...evangelical, Reformed, and charismatic.  THE WALLS ARE NOT ONLY BEING KEPT LOW BUT SEEM TO BE ALMOST NON-EXISTENT!

http://fora.tv/2011/09/27/The_Churchs_Abandonment_of_the_King_James_Bible?utm_source=Outbrain THE CHURCH'S ABANDONMENT OF THE KING JAMES BIBLE - This video was recorded at Gresham College in the UK. The speaker is a Baptist pastor and his church is probably in the Baptist Union but what he believes concerning the King James Bible is typical of many graduates of BJU and other schools that follow the Critical Greek text and therefore prefer one of the many new versions.

http://focusonjerusalem.com/newsroom.html AL QAEDA GROUP ATTACKS NORTHERN ISRAEL Nov. 30….(Ha Aretz), 2011 (Edited by DCB) While NATO is supposedly fighting Al-Qaida in Afghanistan, The Sheikh Abdullah Azzam Brigades, a militant group affiliated with Al-Qaida...claimed responsibility for the four Katyusha rockets fired from Lebanon at Israel overnight.  The world is not only spiritually blind but politically blind as well. The day may not be far away when saying one is a follower of Christ may bring incarceration or death!

November 28, 2011 - The world religion of climate change continues to gather momentum in spite of its lies. While China continues to build electricity plants powered by Australian coal Australian citizens will be lumbered with a carbon tax. In this interview Australian talk-back host Alan Jones speaks with American climatologist Patrick Michaels.

Because of Calvary,
