CHURCH PLANTING IN AUSTRALIA
AUGUST 2002
"Grace be unto you,
and peace, from God our Father,
and from the Lord Jesus Christ." 1 Corinthians 1:3
The Baptist church in
which David was saved had this saying "One life twill soon be past and only
what is done for Christ will last." on the left front side wall of the
church. It has had a great impact on his life and with eternity in view we
continue to serve the Lord in country New South Wales, Australia. With the first
anniversary of 11 September drawing near it causes us to reflect upon the past
and future. The events of 11 September reminds us afresh that the heart of man
is "dead in trespasses and sins." Ephesians 2:1. However, an event
such as 11 September also causes us to think about the future and the glorious
coming of our Saviour. How precious it is in days like these to reflect on His
Word and especially Titus 2:13 "Looking for that blessed hope, and the
glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ." Friends,
He is coming again!
We
thank the Lord each day for His redeemed people. Please
continue to pray for spiritual growth in the hearts and lives of Jonathan and
Lynne, Jim and Margaret, Abel and Phyllis, and John and Rose. These dear folk
are an encouragement to us and we desire to help them in their growing in the
grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.
During
our time in Dubbo
we have met many unsaved people
and many have become friends. We ask you to please continue to pray for these
folk.

New
South Wales is going through a terrible drought. Many
farmers are selling their stock for the lack of feed and are keeping only the
breeding stock. Due to the drought kangaroos are coming into residential areas
and we even saw one hopping down one of the main streets of Dubbo the other day.
Driving becomes a little more exciting with more kangaroos likely to be on the
roads. Pray with us that the Lord will use this weather condition which affects
the pocket book to stir some to turn in faith toward the Son of God, the Lord
Jesus Christ. Our desire is that many not only in Dubbo and Gilgandra but around
New South Wales will turn to God "from idols to serve the living and true
God; and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even
Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come."
Thank
you for your continued prayers and financial support.
Please take note that all support is to be sent to Bible For Today Baptist
Church, 900 Park Ave., Collingswood, New Jersey 08108. The Bible For Today
Baptist Church phone number is 856-854-4452.
