CHURCH PLANTING IN AUSTRALIA
December 2001
Dear Prayer Partners,
Job 9:25 "Now my days
are swifter than a post (a runner or courier): they flee away."
Is this how you felt 2001 went? If so you are not alone! James 4:14 "For
what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and
then vanisheth away." As we face a New Year may we establish some spiritual
goals. Of course one of those should be to read through His Word. Psalm
119:10,11,and 105 "With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not
wander from thy commandments. Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might
not sin against thee. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my
path." Our hearts break when we hear or read of one of God's servants
falling into sin. As someone once said "Reading the Bible will keep you
from sin or sin will keep you from reading the Bible." So true!
Before
we go too far we want to remind you again that next years mini-furlough is
postponed until 2003.
We will be sending a schedule sometime in mid 2002. Thank you for your
understanding in this change. The 29 November radio debate went well. It was
interesting to hear the Muslim and Roman Catholic tell a few things about their
beliefs or unbelief. The Muslim and Roman Catholic had more in common with each
other than either did with David. We trust the Lord will use this radio
programme in days ahead to reach someone for the Saviour.
Leading
up to Christmas we distributed Christmas tracts in various areas of town.
Pray the Lord will use these to convict hearts of either their need for Him or
if saved their responsibility to obey Him. The printed page is still an
effective way of evangelism. We often think the printed page is not being read
but we may never know this side of heaven what the Lord did. We want to thank
you for your faithful financial and prayer support during 2001. We look forward
to serving Him with you in 2002. 2Corinthians 9:15 "Thanks be unto God for
his unspeakable gift."
Your
Servants for the Lord Jesus Christ,
David and Pam Bennett
