Dear Prayer Partners,
Colossians 1:18 “… that
in all things he might have the preeminence.”
We would like to say we have seen many come to
faith in Christ this past month but we cannot. However, we do praise
the Lord for the many opportunities He gives us to witness for Him.
To just name a couple a few weeks ago, we were out passing out
tracts and Pam had the privilege of giving the gospel to a young
mother on her way shopping. Her name was Mariam and she said she had
attended the Baptist Union church when she was growing up. However,
during the conversation it became apparent she did not understand
the gospel. She listened intently to a presentation of the gospel
and accepted a tract before she had to go on her way. David also had
opportunity to talk briefly with a young man by the name of John.
John graciously accepted the Amazing Grace tract. We trust that the
Lord will direct the message of the gospel to the hearts of John and
Mariam to bring them to faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. 1Corinthians
3:7 “So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he
that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.”
Jim and Margaret have returned home from
Sydney. Their son, Malchom, is on a new drug, which presently is
performing better than methadone did for him. We would appreciate
you praying for Malchom, Jim and Margaret as the Lord brings them to
your mind.
The 29th of May we drove to Tamworth
for David to attend a mandatory celebrant’s course in order to keep
his religious celebrant’s license valid. We have some unsaved
friends who moved to Tamworth a few years ago and they have been
asking us to come and pay them a visit so this was an opportunity
even if for a only a few hours after the course. They are such
gracious people, religious but lost. She is high Church of England
and he Roman Catholic. We have mentioned them before in letters.
They have listened to us verbally give the gospel and have accepted
it in tract form as well. We continue to pray God will break through
their religiosity and that Adrian and Ann will be saved.
Time continues to move, faster it seems the
older we get, toward that final Day when we will all stand before
our Creator and Judge. May we not be satisfied with only being
saved, but to be among those who are called “the faithful
in Christ Jesus” as Paul states in Ephesians 1: 1. Thank you for
your continued prayers for the ministry and us, God’s richest
blessings!
His and Your servants,
David
and Pam Bennett
