GREEN REAPER'S BRAVE NEW WORLD 21 April 2008 (Edited by DCB) - The worship
of Mother Earth is alive and well. In the Australian state of New South
Wales “Relatives and friends will require a satellite navigation device to
find graves of loved ones in NSW's first eco-burial site.” Those who have
passed on “…will be buried in biodegradable coffins between gum trees in a
protected koala sanctuary.” This “environmentally friendly” burial place is
due to open on 1 July 2008. “This will be Australia's fourth ‘natural burial
site’, all attached to conventional crematoriums. There are existing sites
in Tasmania, Victoria and Western Australia.”

VATICAN LISTS "NEW SINS," INCLUDING POLLUTION 10 March 2008 (Edited by DCB)
– The Vatican’s second man in rank said, “…in an interview headlined ‘New
Forms of Social Sin,’ also listed ‘ecological’ offences as modern evils.”
This comes as no surprise as the number one man in the Vatican, the Pope,
“…has made several strong appeals for the protection of the environment,
saying issues such as climate change had become gravely important for the
entire human race.”

SOUTHERN BAPTISTS BACK A SHIFT ON CLIMATE CHANGE 10 March 2008 (Edited by
DCB) – Believing the Southern Baptist Convention’s (SBC) 2007 resolution
viewed global warming more skeptically forty four leaders of the SBC have
signed “A Southern Baptist Declaration on the Environment and Climate
Change.” Three of the leaders were the present president of the SBC, Frank
Page, and two former presidents, Jack Graham and James Merritt. This
document urges SBC “…ministers to preach more about the environment and for
all Baptists to keep an open mind about considering environmental policy.”

DOCTOR WHO TO BOOST CHURCH POPULARITY 05 May 2008 (Edited by DCB) – Television
shows of Doctor Who “…have been examined by church leaders in Britain as part of
an attempt to make Christianity more appealing to teenagers.” After viewing
several Doctor Who
episodes, a conference of Church of England Vicars saw
“countless examples of Christian symbolism in Doctor Who…” which a spokesman
for the Vicars said they could “…use to get across ideas that can otherwise
be difficult to explain.”
Editorial: The world has never been a
friend of the Lord Jesus Christs and never will be. The religious, such as those
in England and other places,
who are using Dr. Who, have forgotten that “…as the serpent beguiled Eve through
his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is
in Christ” 2Corinthians 11:3. The world needs to hear that the Christ of the
Gospel saves from the power and penalty of sin and not environmental issues or
Dr Who!
Because of Grace and Calvary,
