Dear Prayer Partners,

Titus 2:13 “Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ.”  The Lord Jesus did not come in 2006 but He may in 2007! Keep looking up!!

It does not seem possible 2006 is history and 2007 is on us already! How did 2006 go for you? Is there anything you regret having or having not done? In 1825, a little over one year before his death, the third President of the United States, Thomas Jefferson, wrote a personal letter to Thomas Jefferson Smith. In this letter Mr. Jefferson gave ten points to examine in one’s everyday life. These ten points are worth reading as we enter this New Year. They are:

1. Never put off until tomorrow what you can do today.

2. Never trouble another for what you can do yourself.

3. Never spend your money before you have it.

4. Never buy what you do not want, because it is cheap; it will be dear to you.

5. Pride costs us more than hunger, thirst, and cold.

6. We never repent of having eaten too little.

7. Nothing is troublesome that we do willingly.

8. How much pain have cost us the evils which never have happened.

9. Take things always by their smooth handle.

10. When angry, count ten, before you speak; if very angry, an hundred.

These ten points are certainly worth putting in the memory bank for later reference. Oh, yes, before we forget we want to tell you Jim Ogden’s biopsy came back negative. Praise the Lord for that!

The year 2006 Pam had the opportunity to minister to the children in a small country Public school once a quarter to teach a craft. This is a photo of those children. In that group she was moved by the circumstances of four of the children. They were half brothers and sisters with the same mother but different fathers. This woman, their mother, had recently given birth to a baby by another man who was not the biological father of these other four children but who had accepted the responsibility of being their father. One day he came home to find that this woman had taken the baby and left him and the four children for another man. This man did not forsake these children but took them to live with his mother. His mother took them in as though she was their biological grandmother.

The children affectionately call her “Nan” grandma.  Anyway, Pam was touched by the situation and thought this would be a good Christmas project for our people. The fellowship was in agreement and gave generously in food, presents, Defined King James Bibles, and a gift of money. We delivered these to the school for the principal to convey to the home.  The principal reported back saying the children were so appreciative and the grandmother was overwhelmed by the kindness of those whom she did not personally know. The principal said she was really affected by the gift of the Bibles and even wept when she saw them. We pray the Lord will use His Word in that home as it is His Word which shall accomplish that which He pleases and prosper in the thing whereto He sends it, Isaiah 55: 11.

Our tract distribution at the Rotunda (which is on the main street of Dubbo) saw many people accept the Christmas tracts and only a few refuse them.

We had one tract mailed back to us via the post without any message as to why they returned it. The tract The Empty Tomb (pictured with the Christmas tracts) is for Easter distribution. We continue to hold forth the word of life” Philippians 2:16 and believe 1Peter 1:23 “Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever” and John 3: 8, 16 “The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

A BIG THANK YOU to each of our churches and individuals for their continued support in prayers and finances. We look forward to serving the Saviour with you in 2007.

Serving the risen and soon coming Saviour,

David & Pam
