Dear Prayer Partners,

Psalm 143:6 "I stretch forth my hands unto thee: my soul thirsteth after thee, as a thirsty land. Selah." Spurgeon said in his Treasury Of David that "Not alone did he extend his hands, but his heart was stretched out towards the Lord. He was athirst for the Lord." Oh, how much are we "athirst for the Lord"?

The article DROUGHT IS BACK appeared in the Sydney Daily Telegraph 23 May. In part it said "REGIONAL NSW is again in crisis, with 90 per cent of the state either drought declared or close to it." Then 30 May the drought was again pointed out in the article RECORD DROUGHT. We quote only a part of the article which said that "ECONOMISTS have warned the NSW Government the state is in the grip of the driest 12 months in more than 100 years. The warnings came as the Bureau of Meteorology issued a three-month prediction of higher-than-normal temperatures and low rainfall." "Sydney is experiencing its fifth driest year in 148 years." Pray for us as we seek to proclaim the gospel to a spiritually dry people in a physically dry land.

Last month a lady from a small town about 100 miles north of Dubbo telephoned David. The first two calls she was contemplating suicide. Each time David spoke with her, he spoke of her need for the Lord, even though she claimed to be a Christian. She would not give him her name so all we can ask is that you pray for this unnamed lady. She wouldnít say how she knew of David so we assume someone who listens to us on WAR FM may have given her our name. The main reason for her contemplating suicide is that her husband is committing adultery and has moved in with the other woman. Her third and last call was late one night and she seemed much better. We continue to pray for her.

Last month we mentioned a community radio station was on the councilís agenda. As we told you the when David inquired about the first meeting he was told by a councillor that "the station will not have any religious components what so ever." Well, last month they had their first meeting. Pam, David and the Anglican minister plus two councillors were the only oneís who were in attendance. This composed the first committee! We will see what the second meeting in June brings. One of the councillors is corresponding with various groups in Dubbo seeking to gain their participation. If there is not enough community interest the Australian Broadcasting Authority will not give a license. Pray the Lord will further this avenue via the air waves for the spreading of the Gospel here in Dubbo. This would mean reaching a possible 40,000 plus people with the Gospel via free air time!

Pamís mother is now 91 and is no longer able to live on her own. Last month she was settled into the home of her eldest son and his wife who live not far from her house. This is good as she is able to go down to her house once and awhile. She does not know the Lord as her personal Saviour so we ask that you continue to pray for her salvation.

Again we thank each of our supporters for their financial and prayer support. We thank our "God upon every remembrance of you" and "For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now" and moreover we are "confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ" Philippians 1: 3, 5, and 6.

Serving the Risen Saviour in the Land Down Under,
