Dear Prayer Partners,

Ecclesiastes 1:4 "One generation passeth away, and another generation cometh..." As most of you now know Pamís mother passed away the 9th of October. Her funeral was the 16th of October at the Reeceís Funeral Home in Ottumwa, Iowa with Pastor Ed Matthews of the Bible Baptist Church bringing the gospel message. Pamís mother was always a little antagonistic to the gospel but Pam did read in the front of an old Bible her mother had at her home that her mother had been baptized in a Baptist Church when she was twelve. Most Baptist churches require a profession of faith in Christ before baptism so we will leave that with the Lord, Genesis 18:25 "...Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?

We want to thank all those who sent cards and emails of sympathy and encouragement. We also want to thank those who gave financial gifts which have helped defray some of the cost of the trip. Thank you so much for your generosity and thoughtfulness.

This season of our lives now finds our four parents having passed away and this does leave a void in oneís life. Even though we have lived a long distance from our parents for most of our lives, one always knew they were just a telephone call away. Now, there will be no more phone calls. Now, there will be no more dropping by and having a visit when we are back in Iowa. One often foolishly thinks their parents will live for ever but standing at the grave puts a full stop to such thinking. Psalm 90:10 "The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away." In closing this part of our letter may we quote Mr. Spurgeon who in commenting on this verse said "What has this poor world to offer us that we should tarry on its shores? Away, away! This is not our rest. Heavenward, Ho!"

As of this writing we are still waiting on the arrival of our Christmas tracts. Pray with us that they will arrive soon. We want to situate ourselves around the rotunda on the main street of town as it is the key area where most people pass sometime during a work day. Until the Christmas tracts arrive we continue to distribute the other tracts we have on hand. Recently, David was talking to a gentleman we have known for a few years and David stuck a "This was your Life" Chick tract in the gentlemanís pocket. A few days later we saw the gentleman again and he said he had read the "leaflet" (as he called it) and said it made him think. Oh, our desire is as Paulís that not only for him just to think but be "altogether such as I am (we are)" Acts 26: 29.

It has been sometime now since anything has been communicated to us concerning the Community Radio station for Dubbo. A few months ago David did email a man who is an employee of councils and he emailed back saying nothing had eventuated as yet. David will certainly be following this up again, for as you know from our previous letters, one of the city councilors was extremely negative in having any religious broadcasting on the station. We are still praying the Lord will open up this ministry in this city of forty thousand. We continue our three hours on WAR FM Gilgandra. WAR FM will be putting up a taller tower sometime in the very near future which will allow us to reach further out into the surrounding area for which we praise the Lord.

Again in closing we want to thank you for your support in prayers and finances. Serving the risen and soon coming Saviour,

David and Pam Bennett, Titus 2:13
