Prayer Letters of 2002
Pray for the Bennetts in Australia as they with God's help and for His glory are seeking to establish: Western Plains Baptist Fellowship, and Gilgandra Baptist Fellowship as New Testament Baptist churches.
This brings us to two requests. One, please pray for Jeanette’s salvation and Two, the need for inexpensive King James Bibles. These would serve a two fold use. One, they would be placed on the table for those first time attendees to use during the service and two, as a gift for those who do not have a Bible. October-November 2002 Prayer Letter

In this pluralistic society, many voices are saying all gods are the same! The God of the Bible is not the same as the god of Islam or any other religion. For several months now, the Roman Church in Dubbo has held SPIRITUALITY IN THE PUB meetings. One recent topic at a SIP meeting according to the local paper was "on the impact goddesses have on the lives of women in India." The woman speaker said goddesses, "offered strength and courage, ways of forgiving and forgetting." September 2002 Prayer Letter

The Baptist church in which David was saved had this saying "One life twill soon be past and only what is done for Christ will last." on the left front side wall of the church. It has had a great impact on his life and with eternity in view we continue to serve the Lord in country New South Wales, Australia. August 2002 Prayer Letter

Last month David received a phone call from Mr. Frank Downie. He and his wife live out near the airport. Frank is 84 and his wife, Dulcie, is 83. They both know the Lord and were for years members of the Orana Baptist Church. This is the smaller of the two Baptist Union churches in Dubbo. Frank said he reads with interest David's letters to the editor and wanted to tell him he agreed. July 2002 Prayer Letter

Again we would remind you that if you have email to note our above address. We seek to send at least one email news note each month. As we are only sending a hard copy about once a quarter through snail mail we urge you to keep up to date with ministry and family news via email. June 2002 Prayer Letter

Please remember these as you go to the Lord in prayer.  May 2002 Prayer Letter

We find many go to church but most cannot give a clear testimony of knowing the Lord Jesus. One of the churches had a "Spirituality in the Pub" night! Others such as the Roman Catholic, Anglican, Lutheran, and Uniting held ecumenical Bible studies during Lent. Please continue to pray with and for us as we hand out tracts, knock on doors, preach the Word, and seek to communicate the gospel one on one. April 2002 Prayer Letter

On request of Mark Ryan (an unsaved man) David has joined the SES (State Emergency Service) as chaplain. This is a volunteer organization which performs various duties in the state and local community such as bush fires, search and rescue, storm damage repairs, etc. His first meeting was last Monday evening. There are about 35 people in the local organization but he would also be involved with other SES groups further west. We trust the Lord will open a hearts or hearts through this. March 2002 Prayer Letter

We trust this letter finds each of you well and rejoicing in the goodness of our Saviour. Before we go too far we want to remind you our 2002 FURLOUGH HAS BEEN CANCELLED. David is working on our schedule for next year, 2003 and hopefully will have it to you by the middle of this year. February 2002 Prayer Letter

"Israel's weary wanderings were all over, and the promised rest was attained. No more moving tents, fiery serpents, fierce Amalekites, and howling wildernesses: they came to the land which flowed with milk and honey, and they ate the old corn of the land. Perhaps this year, beloved Christian reader, this may be thy case or mine. Joyful is the prospect, and if faith be in active exercise, it will yield unalloyed delight. January 2002 Prayer Letter
