Does The Bible Itself Give A Complete Chronology From
Adam To Christ? Dr. Moorman’s
“Bible Chronology, The Two Great Divides” Answers
The Question.
 Most Bible-believers would say it does. In fact we all follow
a chronology that presupposes a substantial gap in the Biblical Record and seeks
to fill that gap by resorting to the vagaries of secular history. It will not
take a great deal of searching to find this gap in the well-known 93-year period
from when Daniel received the Seventy-Week prophecy in 538 BC to the actual
beginning of the count of the weeks in 445 BC.
But there is absolutely no Biblical reason to dislodge the
Seventy-Week prophecy from a direct follow-on in the Biblical account. The gap
has been imposed by adapting the Bible to secular chronology. Few realize the
extent to which it brings contradictions and anomalies to the Biblical Record.
For a start: By using the commonly accepted dates based on this gap, if
Ezra’s father was put to death at the destruction of Jerusalem in 586, how old
would Ezra be when he began his reforms in 458? And, why is Nehemiah still
weeping over the destruction of Jerusalem in 445? This is only the
start!
The second Divide concerns the long illusive Crux
Chronologorum. Are there 480 years from the Exodus to the Temple (I
Kings 6:1), or is it well over 600 years (Exodus to I Kings, Acts 13)?
Could both be right? The answer to this dilemma is very good for the heart. God
has removed the repentant believers sins as far as the east is from the west
!!

manuscript scholar, Dr. J. A. Moorman. Dr. D. A. Waite, Th. D., Ph. D., wrote:

1980’s when Hodges and Farstad published their edition of their so-called Greek
“Majority” Text, this was the name which had been given to the Greek Textus
Receptus which underlies the King James Bible. Dr. Moorman has given needed
clarification to this important matter.

Goal Of This Book: One of the goals of
this volume is to present the Biblical arguments for God’s promise of verbal,
plenary, preservation of His Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek Words and His
fulfillment of that promise. In addition, two “Majority” Texts are examined. Von
Soden’s defective work is disclosed, over 90 pages of manuscript digest is
listed, and 1 John 5;7-8 is established.
· The

book is “When the KJV Departs From the “Majority” Text.” The c. 414 manuscripts
used for proof are not a “majority” of the over 5,555 manuscripts in existence
today. Of the 1,800 MT differences with the TR, about 1/3rd depart from the
wording of the KJV.
· The
Usefulness of This Book: This book
should prove useful to one who seeks to find this specific differences between
the MT and the TR as well as to find the manuscripts’ authority for the Words
underlying the King James Bible. The five pages of “Index of Words and Phrases”

book, A Tower Of Babble Silenced By The Voice Of Reason, is a 344 page
perfect bound book by Frank Crawford. It is a critical response to a book,
From the Mind of God to the Mind of Man (FTMOG), authored by men associated
with Bob Jones University. The work is organized in Chapters that correspond to
the book (FTMOG) being evaluated. Quotes from FTMOG are followed by
corresponding “Comments” by the writer/compiler of this work. FTMOG deserves a
lot of criticism. The authors of FTMOG have undertaken to form a Committee that
is a self-proclaimed authority on the subject of Textual Criticism. However, the
research and reasoning behind its arguments fall far short of good scholarship.
The writers have not taken into account the scholarly works of Dean John William
Burgon. Therefore, the late Dean Burgon is quoted extensively in relation to
their statements concerning Westcott and Hort’s ‘canons’ of Textual Criticism.
The author of this work,
Frank Crawford, is a professional petroleum geologist who demonstrates his
attention to detail and his command of the subject matter. Every individual who
desires to understand the failure of the book, FTMOG, that came out of Bob Jones
University, and modernism/postmodernism should have Brother Crawford’s book in

The Need For This Clean-Up
 ● Because of the False View of
Inspiration. Mrs. Riplinger has a completely distorted view of Biblical
inspiration. 2 Timothy 3:16 refers to the way the original Hebrew, Aramaic,
and Greek Words were produced. It was by the process of God’s “breathing out”
(THEOPNEUSTOS) of those Words.
● Because of the False View of the
King James Bible. Mrs. Riplinger has a completely distorted view of the
King James Bible. She believes the King James Bible was given by God Himself,
rather than its being the only faithful, true, and accurate English
translation made by a group of men--scholarly and equipped, but still just
men.
● Because of the False View of Lexicons and Textual Aids.
Mrs. Riplinger has a completely distorted view of the purpose and usefulness
of sound lexicons and textual aids for Pastors and others in their study of
the Bible. The measure of a useful lexical aid is not the extent to which the
author’s doctrine or lifestyle agrees with her own, but the extent to which
the volume produces honest and helpful meanings and uses of the Hebrew,

Critical Greek Text and quoted from and explained 34 clear verses where the the

● The Need For This Booklet. One of the most important parts of the
battle for the real Bible in our time is the answer to the question: Which Old

use as the basis for all our translations? Since there are so many viewpoints
on this, there is a drastic need to discuss the problem in detail.

Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek Words underlying the King James Bible are the only

As the Apostle Paul wrote his last letter before going Home to Glory, he
summed up his autobiography in three short clauses. First, he said “I
have fought a good fight.” He did not deny that his faithful service
for his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, was a “fight.” But he hastened
to add that his “fight” for the Saviour and His Words was a “good
fight.” He did not cut corners. He did not lie. He did not play favorites. He did not cower before his many enemies.

“I Have Finished My Course.” Very
few born-again Christians know when their “course” has come to an end.
The Lord let Paul know that it was his time to go Home to Heaven. His
“course” as a follower of His Saviour was rigorous. It entailed much
suffering, pain, and sorrow. Paul did not compromise his service to
comply with the morals and opinions of his day. His challenge from the
Lord Jesus Christ upon his conversion was clear. He was to carry the
Gospel of the grace of God to all who would listen. The Lord set before
him his difficult “course.” Now, at the end of his life, Paul declared
it to be “finished.”

“I Have Kept The Faith.” “The
Faith” refers to the body of doctrine. It includes every Word found in
the pages of the Old and New Testaments. Paul “kept these Words in two
senses. He “kept” them by following these Words faithfully. He also
“kept” them by guarding them and preserving them from all the many
enemies of his day. The Gnostic-tainted New Testament manuscripts
(Vatican & Sinai) altered the Words of “the faith” in at least 8,000
places. We must follow Paul in guarding the “received Words” of “the
faith” in our day.

Sproul's Serious Errors
His Error on "Word." The title
of Sproul's book is God's Word Preserved. His first serious error is
that he deceives the readers into believing that he actually believes
that God's Words have been preserved form the time of their writing to
the present time. He redefines "Word" to mean only the "ideas,
thoughts, concepts, message, truth, or teachings," but not "Words." This
is uncalled for and is deceptive to his readers.
His Error on "Preserved." In
Sproul's title, God's Word Preserved, he makes a second serious error by
redefining "Preserved." Genuine "preservation" must "preserve" the
Bible's Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek Words, not, as Sproul believes, only
the Bible's "ideas, thoughts, concepts, message, truth, or teachings."
This is uncalled for and is deceptive to his readers.
His Error on "KJV-only."
Sproul's third serious error is his misuse of the term, "KJV-only." He
never defines the term, but rightly uses it when talking about the
beliefs and practices of Peter Ruckman and his followers; but he also
uses it to besmirch those of us who are anti-Ruckmanites and take a
sound position in the defense of the King James Bible and its underlying
Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek Words. This is not only uncalled for and
deceptive, but also could be libelous.

New Book: 1 Timothy--Preaching Verse by Verse

LOCAL CHURCH PRIMER
 A NEEDED LETTER. As a new local church was being formed in the important city
of Ephesus, it was important to have it founded properly. Paul evidently felt
that one of the first pastors of that church should be his friend Timothy.
Though trained personally by Paul, Timothy was relatively young and
inexperienced in leading this church in a Biblical manner. To meet this need,
Paul wrote both 1 Timothy and 2 Timothy. This letter is just as much needed
today as an instruction to local churches as it was in Timothy's day.
AN ENCOURAGING LETTER. Throughout the book, Paul sought to encourage Timothy in
any way possible. Paul told Timothy, in a balanced way, about all the various
doctrines of the Christian faith and encouraged him to preach and teach these
doctrines without fear or favor. He made it clear that the Lord Jesus Christ
died for the sins of the entire world and that Timothy was to proclaim this
gospel message clearly, simply, and yet Scripturally. With all of his
encouragement, Paul did not hide from Timothy the rigors and requirements for a
faithful local-church ministry.
A REPROVING LETTER. Along with the encouragement, and with many other important
matters, Paul listed a total of fourteen qualifications for the office of a
pastor/bishop/elder. In addition to these, Paul enumerated sixteen requirements
for deacons. When comparing the thirty stipulations for these two important
local church offices with those who occupy such offices today, it becomes
obvious that most of these thirty obligations are absent today. This is a
much-needed reproof for our day.

Importance of This BookThe Author. Dr. J. A. Moorman has been a
missionary for many years. He began his missionary service in South Africa.
Presently he is in London, England. He serves as the Pastor of Bethel Baptist
Church located in the Wimbledon area of London at present. In addition to
pastoring, he has written, printed, and distributed thousands of gospel tracts
in English in the streets of London and in other languages in Europe. He has
spent time each day in research on the subject of the Bible and its texts. The
Bible For Today and /or the Dean Burgon Society have produced fourteen titles on
the Bible's textual foundation during these past years.
The Background. Dr. Moorman was burdened to begin his laborious
research on the differences between the critical Greek Words of Nestle/Aland
(26th and 27th editions) as compared to the Textus Receptus Greek Words
underlying the King James Bible. He was convinced that there were hundreds of
differences, but discovered that there were, not hundreds, but thousands of
differences. Because those who follow the Critical Text have told their
constituencies that such differences are minimal, this book is a valiant attempt
to "set the record straight."
The Original Format. Originally, this book was in a 536-page PDF
format on 8.5" by 11" paper. It was copied and bound by the Quickbind process.
It has been used by Bible translators in various languages to see what places to
look for in order to conform their translations to the Traditional Received
Greek Words of the King James Bible. It is hoped that hundreds of translators,
teachers, students, and pastors will make good use of this present and more
durable format to produce accurate New Testament translations of the proper

The
Theology of the Heathen. Chapters one
through three of Romans tell the truthful story of the eternal fate of the
heathen without Christ. False teachers have wrongly taught that all the
heathen will be saved. On the other hand, our God tells us clearly that

be lost. They must repent of their sins and believe on and receive the

The Theology of Salvation.

The Theology of Dispensationalism.
Chapters nine through eleven teach clearly that there is a vast difference
between the nation of Israel and the believers in this church age.
These chapters present Israel’s past, present and future. This contradicts
those who teach that the promises to Israel are fulfilled in the Church.
The Lord will remove all the saved ones in the rapture before the
Tribulation, and then return to set up His 1,000-year Millennial Reign.
Chapters twelve to sixteen urge practical living for today in this age of
grace.

Gertrude G. Sanborn's poems in the Bible For Today Newsreport.

Deception on "Word." The first DECEPTION in the
book, God's Word in Our Hands (GWIH) deals with their meaning of
"Word." The Bible uses the terms "Word of God" and "Words of God" with
the same meaning. The writers in the GWIH book have altered this
identity without telling the readers. They use it to mean only the
"message, thoughts, ideas, concepts, truth, doctrine, or revelation" of
the Bible, but not the "Words" of the Bible.
Deception on "Preservation." The second DECEPTION
in the GWIH book deals with their meaning of "Preservation." The
Managing Editor of the book, suggested "perpetuation" for
"preservation." That which is "perpetuated" is not necessarily
"preserved." The writers deny that God's Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek

Versions. It is a careful answer to a recent book, entitled One Bible
Only? This book was published by Central Baptist Theological
Seminary in the Minneapolis, Minnesota area.
FUZZY FACTS takes up a total of 265 "fuzzy facts"
found in this One Bible Only? book. These are only purported
"facts," but when examined closely, they are not "facts" at all, but
erroneous opinions. Central Seminary only parrots the line of three of
the other "major" Fundamentalists institutions. All four of these schools
are in serious error regarding the Bible's texts and proper translation,
namely, Bob Jones University, Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary, and
Calvary Baptist Theological Seminary.
The key error from these four Fundamentalist institutions
lies in their denial of the proper Biblical doctrine of Bible
Preservation. Not only do these groups deny that God has preserved the
Bible's Hebrew and Greek Words, but they also deny that God even promised
